Ise's Zanpakuto is the one Shunsui has been using this whole time? So where is his Zan?

Nah. Shunsui has always had two Zanpakuto remember? We assumed it was just a single one that manifested as two. Turns out he only has the one and the other was Ise's. Why this is the case I don't know but I kinda like it myself.

Shunsui's Zanpakuto is Sakuranosuke, Kyokotsu is Nanao's. Katen Kyokotsu might be a nickname similar to Yumichika's.

You know, I'll grant, I didn't see this coming, I assumed his bankai would pwn as per formula.

And I guess while formidable, his bankai doesn't do so well vs regen.

It's also unstoppable kek.

Kyoraku is Nanao's uncle I guess. Also its not just Nanao but her entire family that's pulling a Tousen? Also it appears that this Sternritter might be defeated by a shikai or something.

Well I mean I've always hated the idea of romance between the two of them so even if it isn't incest I still find it very bleh.

I think while the bulk of the population is dead people who moved others, there are actual kids from sex too.

Really, the farther we've got in the series, the less spirit-ish anything is.

Can someone remind me again why asauchi are a big deal. Apparently you don't actually need them become a shinigami so what gives?

Yeah but the shinigami's actual zanpakuto comes from them and as Tousen and now Nanao have shown, not even that's really necessary. So why the middleman/sword?
