Energywise, some powers seem "cheaper" than others. For 100 kilowatts (eg, the power to move a car at 40mph), you can have the strength of 1000 men. Superspeed requires megawattage; and durability is the most expensive of your basic powerset: to withstand the explosive force of only 1 ton of TNT, you need 4.2 gigawatts. To withstand 1 megaton, you'd need 4200 terawatts (that's ten times the power of the Hiroshima bomb). 😖mart:
My guess would be, by the time we have the technology to generate this kind of power on a personal level, we'd probably be beyond suits. More like nanotech beings.
Actually you don't have to worry about energy output given to the body.
With a smaller, power source that generates large energy sources you can stream line a number of components upon the suit. Adding minor hydraulic exoskeleton would greatly increase strength while not having to tap a large amount of the power source.
The problem is the energy source would have to be very small.
