Eh, thats kind of what makes him an awesome character.

He is usually an underdog.

That and he gets an upgrade everytime he gets hit by some sort of cosmic radiation, which happens like every 30 issues 😛

The Thing SHOULD be in the high class 100 because he is one of Marvels original strong men and he was written to be close to Hulks strength but when the Hulk gets angrier he eventually beats the Thing. That is just like the Abomination. What it is, and I hope that even Thing haters agree with me, is that Ben Grimm is just written poorly. The writers want to show the Things toughness and never give up attitude, but they have to show him getting owned by jobbers in order to do that. The Fantastic Four have not had a good writer in a long while that is why their comic went from being one of the best when I was young to being weak now. Also The Thing was always the Hulks size when I was younger and now The Hulk as well as Abomination are really big but some artist keep the Thing at 6 ft which looks silly and takes away any intimidating factor. The Thing should be at least close to the Hulks size.

I dont care what handbooks say, I think of the Thing as class 100 and Level 7 🤘
