That looks amazing. Can't wait.

Really nice appearence of Namor this week, by the way...in Winter Solder: Winter Kills. Brubaker writes an awesome Namor. ✅

"If you attempt to give me a Criss-mass present, I will break your arms." 😂

Nice to see that he doesn't give any crap to Bucky about his disappearence and appearence either.

Brubaker writes just about an awesome everyone, I rank him pretty highly as a writer. One of the best at marvel.

Looks like all those years of being a Namor fan have cashed in a little? especially if he gets an ongoing.

They have indeed. I waited for years...but finally, Namor is getting exposure at Marvel and appearing in more and more titles. And besides Wolverine and Black Panther, those appearences have been pretty badass.

Glad to see people actual liking Namor. got almost no love 95-05>Hes getting there. I also like he is still the same badass since when first steped foot on land to battle the first huamntorch.

Like Bucky said...some things don't change. ✅

Namor being badass is one of them 😄

Yeah, seeing Namor interact with Bucky was great. And it was written perfectly.

i just love brubaker's way of creating killer back stories without having to retcon anything for it to fit.. thats just a lost art in comics these days

Yeah, Brubaker is awesome...besides Deadly Genesis, there is not one comic from him that I haven't enjoyed.

I actually like character moments like that more then fights.

The meetings between Cap/Namor are always great, as are Namor and Strange and Namor and Susan Storm...

Bucky?
😄

Sorry, THE Bucky. 😛

The whole Namor thing was a lovely surpise in Winter Kills. Perhaps the BEST take on Namor I've seen all year when it comes to his personality.

BTW, DC, when will that website be ready? 😄

Couple of months, I presume. School really took a lot out of me, and then I just rested through the holiday...couldn't do much.

I've completed a dozen new pages though, here is a sneak peek to his Friends page 😄

Probably going to do all the graphics first, then the writing (which is the hardest part).

So Peter Milligan was supposed to be doing a Namor project right? Did he give any info on it?

Guess we have to wait for the next Joe Fridays for more information...

Namor appeared in Civil War #6, FINALLY! Not a bad appearence either.

Kudos for scans to Darth Vicious.

Even sits like one.

More info on Namor title:

NRAMA: Joe, last week, you said that there'd be more to talk about this week, in regards to Namor, specifically considering that image by Mike Turner.

Before we hit that - Namor is one character that's gone through a bit of a revitalization thanks to Civil War, perhaps making his hostile attitude toward the surface world understandable for most readers for the first times in a long time. In terms of the Civil War "Big Board" – was "revitalize Namor" even on it?

JQ: No, Namor had a question mark over his name. He was just one of many characters that we could elevate during Civil War, but we didn’t have a completely concrete plan for him yet. He was someone who we could possibly bring into the limelight, but it wasn’t a certainty. Namor had begun popping up more in more in the Marvel Universe, so the idea of doing something with him had been percolating slowly.

From the Illuminati to Civil War to Front Line to Black Panther, it just seemed like Namor was starting to reared his pointy eared head. The Atlantean sleeper cell was really one of the things that got us thinking more and more about Namor and his role within the Marvel Universe. Then one day we received a pitch and suddenly, it seemed like the time was right.

NRAMA: Given his role in Front Line, and this week's Civil War #6 - where is he, as a character in your view? As a character, what's it time for him to do?

JQ: Yeah, we’ve all been feeling this way about the Sub-Mariner for some time now. He’s a great character and he’s been out of the limelight for some time, so let’s see how much fans have missed him [laughs]

NRAMA: So - that image - you wanna talk about it some more? Got a creative team? A set-up? A reason why the surface world is on fire?

JQ: Nope, can’t tell you more than I have at this point, but news is forthcoming.

Looking good.

Oh yeah, and short interview with Tom Brevoort about Namor's role in CW...

NRAMA: Moving under the sea, where life is reportedly better…Sue and Namor - can you take us inside Namor's head, and give us some insight on where he's at? As far as he's concerned, it seems as if he always knew it would come down to this on the surface...

TB: Namor was predicting something like this as far back as the Illuminati Special, so it’s really no surprise to him. But despite the fact that he’s still got some kind of legal status as an American citizen, he sees the political in-fighting within the U.S. over this issue to be of absolutely no concern to him and his. His only are of interest was in tracking down the person responsible for his cousin’s death, and he’s done that.

Also, with the mounting tensions between Atlantis and the surface world that we’ve seen over in Front Line, it might be dangerous for Namor or his people to weigh in physically on either side. At that point, the internal Civil War could boil over into a surface-world vs. Atlantis war.

NRAMA: Going by what he said, would Namor have responded differently if Cap had come to him with the plea for help?

TB: That’s anybody’s guess. He certainly has more respect and history with Cap than just about anybody else on the surface, but he’s probably got more sentiment for Sue. Whether Cap would have been enough to sway him into action is an interesting question.

Namor basically just said

"***** I don't want you're stupid ass now that you got ah new pimp." 😆

"I can feel your heartbeat through the water, b!tch...you know you want it." 😂

That shows that Namor's "trouser tuna" isn't leading his decisions anymore. Character growth!
