If Superman can't handle it, then Namor would have to get the job done.

Yeah, and Wonder Woman was attracted to Aquaman.

And everyone know Namor is Aquaman x100000.

...except Lucid, that pesky non-believer! 😠 😛

i think his attraction to sue storm is more interesting 😏

Scroll down a bit and check out Joey Q's comments about the Black Panther issue and what Namor said in Civil War.

Part of me is actually somewhat fond that Namor can be portrayed as an manipulator. Of course, the bigger part of me sees this as everyone kinda ignoring the Black Panther series until someone calls them out on it. 😄

I don't mind Namor being portrayed as manipulator, since that was exactly what he was doing in the Inhuman's mini for example...I mean, most writers seem to forget that he has been doing this longer then anyone in the current Marvel Earth.

He is the longest reigning Head of State in Marvel, after all...(if you count all the years he has ruled Atlantis, he easily surpasses Queen of England and even the King of Thailand). He's bound to pick up some tricks during the eighty-seven years he has lived.

I just did not like the WAY he manipulated things. Way too sneaky and ass-kissing, and way too happy-go-lucky. And Namor would never follow T'Challa. He'd never take orders from anyone else then Captain America, and Vashti.

But from that link you posted, it seems that there is still Milligan's Namor project coming too. It's sweet if Namor gets two mini-series's. The first character of Marvel should get more exposure...

Can't wait to see what the two new writers come up with the confirmed series, though. Artist doesn't seem bad either.

I really cannot say much about the writers, but I do know the artist is very good and I'm looking forward to it. I'm not quite as looking forward to the Milligan's story due to the fact Namor is well known and the whole Moby Dick/Jaws thing doesn't work out. Unless, as I think you suggested... the story takes place before 1939 or before Namor meets Jim Hammond.

And look on the bright side. No one is looking at Hudlin's interperation of Namor. I'm going to pretend that the Black Panther is still suffering from cancer and all these things that are happening to him is just a swelled head and not the truth. Namor glared at them both and didn't want to lead because he would have to deal with humans.

If they're not a hot blonde named Susan Storm, he doesn't want to deal with them.

I'm kinda expecting Milligan's story be before WWII. I would be pretty cool to see Namor's beginning years to be portrayed in modern, realistic way. And Milligan is a pretty good writer, I doubt he would do such a blatant continuity mistake.

And yeah, I doubt anyone else then Hudlin-fans take Black Panther as serious part of Marvel Universe, considering how he mutilates every character in it.

But it would be indeed very nice to see more on Namor's stance on humanity. During early-mid 90's he still had pretty positive look on them, even defending them to other Atlanteans...but nowadays there is nobody under the waves who loathes them more. It's pretty funny, because he still is half-human and does have family and friends there too. Not many, but some.

Maybe that is because he hates them most, though. He has first hand seen what kind of bastards 99% of humanity are.

Anyway, it will be fun to see the (both) writers take on Namor...unless it is awful of course, but I don't think it will be.

I would like to se Namor continue to be a hero, even if he doesn't like humanity.

Eh, Namor has never been a pure hero. He's an anti-hero. I mean, he killed hundreds during WWII...not the mention the ruthless way he killed Suma-Ket (Stabbed an Trident through his chest) and Khan (Ripped his head off), not to mention he left Llyra to die without a blink. She begged him to release her from chains so she won't starve to death, Namor threw a (poisoned) fish to her, told her to enjoy her last meal and left her to slow and painful death.

Compare that to the likes of Batman, Superman or Spider-Man, who have never really killed an enemy in cold blood. Namor, on the other hand has no qualms about killing, and should not have any other hero restrictions either.

I'd actually like to see more ruthless and badass Namor. Screw the surface people! 😛

Personally,i think death is a lot like that post, except if there is a god it'll be half as long and nowhere near as painful. 😛

You think THAT post is long and painful to read?

Have you seen some of the essays that have been posted in these boards? 🤨

Don't forget the Namor is an original hero. He has been called the first mutant.

i kinda like the ruthless namor too! he's a bad boy!

New Namor Series

As one of the writers of this project I can promise you it isn't "just another Namor story." Get ready for a ride! Peter Johnson and I have day jobs working in television and we only write comics when we have a new story to tell. If issue #1 doesn't ease your doubts I'll be surprised and disappointed.

Wow, cool, you are actually Matt Cherniss? 😄

Anyway, like I said, I look forward of seeing your take on the character. ✅
