Which was a better movie: The Empire Strikes Back or Revenge of the Sith

You should've done a poll. Its tough desicion, but I would go with ROTS

Well, I just went through the last 29 pages and the totals (so far) are as follows:

Revenge of the Sith = 30

Empire Strikes Back = 48

And I'm biased toward ROTS, (and the whole PT) so you know I'm not making the numbers up.

Looks like the best film is ESB....

I can live with that. 😛

Oh, I didn't count people who had already voted, just everybody's first votes.

It woul be closer to 100 (ESB) to 75 (ROTS) if I did that.

Point of clarification here.

If we abbreviate "Return of the Jedi" as "ROTJ," "The Phantom Menace" as "TPM," "Attack of the Clones" as AOTC, and "Revenge of the Sith as "ROTS," why do some insist on abbreviating "The Empire Strikes Back" as "ESB" when it grammatically should be "TESB"? Why why why?

...this dude's growing up on big, modern effects films like Hellboy and Spiderman...and still "Empire" resonates through the ages...

Empire's a bona fide classic...Sith is just filler.

The cream always rises to the top EPIII lovers.

My 2 1/2 year old nephew is crazy about Star Wars at the moment... I showed Empire to him once when I was babysitting and he virtually sat through the entire thing just staring at the screen. He doesn't give the same attention to any of the Prequels... he just loses interest and gets bored.

Hey... the same thing with my kids. I am watching all films with them (just ROTJ left) in sequence (I-VI) and after seeing IV it's the first time that they said it was such an exciting story, they loved ESB too.... They never ever said anything like that during the others, which they liked of course, but they never commented on how the story affected them. It's interesting to see the OT is a tad slower in storyteller but ever so much more effective and compelling.

Interesting list there, EPIIBITES.... "And justice for all..." on there.... sure it's a young kid? By having Space Jam in there probably, but "And justice for all..."???? INteresting choice.... great film I agree, but not really something a very young kid would choose. Bright kid, if so.

People are aloud to have different views on movies. I for one like Revenge of the Sith better considering it's far more darker and I like have movies with dark endings. Empire Strikes Back is my 2nd favorite Star Wars movie.
