As far as people being offended, aside from the disruptive nature of the threads, the sheer magnitude of pointless threads Slipknot started was strictly prohibited. We even had to introduce a spam filter for the OTF because of HIS tangents of needless threads. The offensive nature of the threads was just the icing on the banishment cake for him.

Seniority doesn't mean shit if you're a nuisance. Just because someones been around a while doesn't mean they've been a quality poster, and their satisfaction with the forums is totally irrelevant when the forums (see staff) aren't satisfied with the poster's actions.
Pete Rose was a great baseball player, played for years. What happened? He messed up and got banned forever. Nobody made Rose gamble, just like nobody made Slipknot start stupid threads and ignore warnings.
