The spartan quickly made up her mind. She clicked off the safety and jammed a fresh clip of ammo into the BR 55 as she ran from the armory. Gautama brought up a nav. marker leading her towards the bio lab. There were only two of them going to assist ten. She was sure that wouldn't be enough. If a spartan couldn't handle something on their own, it would take more than two humans too. After all the entrance was in good hands.
The elevator door opened, and the Sergeant shifted to the side to allow Spartan 116 to enter. “Glad you could join the party.” He said, bouncing his shotgun in his hands. Nuron simply looked at her and nodded, “Good choice. I’m proud of you.” That was totally unexpected, and the reason he was saying this held many layers. But it held merit. Nuron’s views were not changing. They were taking action. PsyCore was going to be going through some very big changes. The Elevator opened on the bottom level, and they all came out. Once at the far end of the room, the Sarge slammed a fist into the heavy blast door. “DAMNIT!” He shouted. “How the hell are we going to get through that?”
Nuron looked at it, “Give me one minute.” He turned and went to the consoles. “Let me see what I can do.” His fingers flew over the buttons, typing more than five words per second, at first trying to get through the lock, but now he was trying to literally hack the system. He plugged something into the console, but there was a spark and it fried. “Damn.” He said. “116, Can you take that thing down?” He said, but he already knew she couldn’t. He admired the fact that she tried none-the-less. They all looked at the door for a few seconds, suddenly Nuron straightened, “I’ll be back. Put something between your self and the door.”
The literally ran to the door leading to the conference room. Again this is where a lot of the back ups were held, and one copy of each weapon was held so the PsyCore enhanced could go over them. He walked in, grabbed the massive weapon, loaded it, and turned around. Nuron came back outside, nodding when the other two were behind cover, and knelt down, holding the rocket launcher over his shoulder. “Tactical Fuel Rocket.” He said. Firing it, the recoil made him almost fall over. The rocket raced forward, and the case exploded, doing two things. The area in front of it was covered in a gel/liquid and a cloudy mist appeared as well. Four sticky charges attached to the door and they, on Nuron’s timing, started to beep. He turned and dove for cover as the high explosive charges detonated, mutilating the door. He got up and looked at his carnage, “God I miss doing that.” He pointed to Rae, “Now you can take it down.”
Davaran starts firing down the hallway, two elites fall to his new type battlerifle, his face seems to light up with joy every time he fires his weapon.. he looks down the hallway to see an odd shape moving to and fro.. "What the hell is that? some kindof an ape?" He says right as the brute fires its weapon, the grenade lands right infront of him.. he quickly without thinking picks it up and throws it, however.. it detonates right next to him.. maybe half a second after throwing.. he falls backward, seeing his rifle absorbed most of the explosion.. the weapon bent and mangled he sighs a bit, before looking up to a brute face to face.. "You.. humans.. pathetic.." It starts to grin preparing to push its fist into davarans face.. He cringes at the thought and knew his time had come.. a momentary flash is seen by him, davarans eyes shoot wide open as he sees the end of a plasma blade not even a half inch from his nose, looking up the blade he sees the brutes eyes rolling into the back of its head, blood running down its split open head.. The friendly black clad elite, keroth stands there.. even though he is alien.. the pure joy on his face was obvious.. "LONG! have I waited for this!! The brutes have attacked our brothers! They must be stopped.." Davaran sees him sling around, blade going right infront of a marine into a jackels energy shield, the jackel flies in one direction, its arm, shield and head in another.. Keroth tosses Davaran the rocket launcher he had and begins to chase down grunts and elites.. Davaran takes this time to check his sights and raise his rocket launcher to his arm.. he prepares to fire a shot.. (I'll wait to post the shot.. since it'll kill alot of enemies if fired, I'll give yall a chance to cancel it out or what not..)
Ok, there are two things going on right now. One, this PsyCore station is under attack by Covenant, and the people are scrambling to engadge. The three people are trying to break into the bottom floor because the PsyCore and Nano Spartan Ten are going through severe problems. Anyway, ignore what's going on with Ten, no one else can get down there. If you really want to know what's going on, it's a very deep plot and other such things based kind of idea. Very complicated. You'll have to read back from when we first got to the station. And to get a complete understand you'll need to read up from the start.
Ten put a hand on a counter that was beside him, and pulled himself to his feet. His nanites were already tending to the wound, and he could deal with it. Looking around he saw that Zero was gone. Swearing the Spartan saw the change in the flames showing where Zero had just been. Leaping over a counter, he landed hoping to cut her off, but she must have expected that, for she was again, no where to be seen.
The chaotic inferno was being reflected on Ten’s visor, and it warped as he turned, but the refection changed as Zero faded into view, flying out of the flames straight at Ten. Ten spun and landed a straight kick on her chest. She landed staggering backwards, nearly falling over a counter. Ten slammed a fist into her visor as her shields were now depleted, a small crack appeared. Grabbing her he tripped her onto her back and put his knee on her chest, pinning her down. “Please don’t make me do this.” He said.
Outside, Nuron and the Sarge watched as Rae took the door down. The Sarge walked to the empty charred door frame and looked down the elevator shaft and whistled. “That’s one mean looking drop baby.” He said, winking at Rae. “Good thing you didn’t body slam that door.” He either didn’t care that she was a Spartan, or had forgotten.
Nuron walked forward, “Save the chatter John.” He jumped into the shaft and grabbed hold of the cables, hanging there, he turned back to them, “The control’s are shot up here, so I can go down there and bring the elevator back up.” Then he slid down the cables, and landed heavily on the top of the elevator.
The Sarge whistled again, “Well I’m not going to let myself be beaten by an old senile freak like that.” He called to Nuron, “Hey! Catch!” He said, tossing the PsyCore his weapon. “I’m loaded in armor here, can’t expect me to do that with one hand can ya?” He leaped out and slid down, landing beside the PsyCore.
Nuron handed the weapon back, and reached down to open the top of the elevator. He pulled and grunted, as it stayed shut. Grabbing hold with both hands he pulled again, straining. “Sergeant…your assistance would be appreciated in this endeavor…” He said.
The Sarge nodded and rubbed his hands together, “Leave it up to the ODST eh? Well I’ll be happy to oblige.” He reached down and started pulling as well. “Well this…thing ain’t…moving…” He said.
Atkins felt plasma blast scratch across the end of his arm leaving a bloody stain to his surprise he looked down and saw a dead Elite who had left a plasma sword on the ground he picked it up and began slaughtering elites there was one in red armor he came up to it and cut its gun in half. "Your time is up you freakish lizard mother," Yelled out Atkins. He lifted the sword and an inch or so from his neck it started flickering like a damaged lightbulb and went off. The elites frightened stare turned to a devilish grin it began to laugh. "Shit," Atkins said with a rather disapointed look on his face. The elite laughed and knocked the hilt of the energy sword out of Atkins hand. "there is only one thing left to do," Atkins said. He kicked the elite in the shin but he hadnt tried that on a deadly giant killer creature covered in armor before it didnt work as planned he was the one in pain but tried not to show it. "Is that all?" The elite chuckled. "No not really," Atkins said just remembering he still had weapons. He pulled out his pistol and blew a whole in the elites head it fell to the floor dead. Atkins then ran off to assist his allies.
Atkins would be quick to realize something was standing behind him, After turning (you would, I hope) A black clad elite stands behind you, plasma sword fully lit, its breath visible as it stares..
Meanwhile, EVERYONE in the lobby would hear the rocket launch, A loud crack and a burst of light, a streaming red light followed by a trail of gray smoke shoots strieght up the hallway, exploding near the end, Elite screams and grunts cries are heard down the hallway.. "Ha you bastards..." He turns and notices his rocket may have slowed the second wave, but the first still wasn't finished.
((Remember only high ranking, Spec Ops, or Elites with a unique distingushing past hold swords. They are rare weapons, and deadly. And you all seem to forget the Elite's energy shields, and their strength. An Elite is equal to a Spartan in every way except being ultra good soldiers. Just to clear that up. Give the Elites the respect they Deserve. 😄 Anyway, enough bout that.)
The Corporal in charge of the marines now signaled for everyone to fall back, "Fall back! Everyone fall back!" He said, "Good job bud." He said, hitting Davaran's shoulder. The marines followed, still shooting at the oncoming Covenant. Just then the two defense turrets poped out. All four miniguns opened up on the wave. Covenant were being shredded by the sheer amount of bullets.
Soon only the sound of the people and the spent casings was heard. Covenant voices were heard outside the hall. Shxzalor nodded, "They are waiting for more troops and coordination." Lord Tekka had four energy swords, since that was his specialty. He gave one to the friendly ELite in Cobalt armor, and one to the friendly Elite in Crimson armor, and kept the two for himself. Shxzalor activated his own crimson energy sword, and pulled out a second, handing it to Khoroth. "The Blades of the first Arbiter will serve you. This is where we gain our honor. I wish for you to have the priveledge fo weilding the one of the two swords of Holy Flame. May it serve you well in the coming battle." It was clear what was on these Elite's minds. They were planing to charge, and meet their end with honor."
(Well we know they can't die! They're main characters)
Atkins started running as soon as the corporal yelled for the to fall back he started running up to catch up with the crowd of marines shooting around randomly. He soon stopped and enjoyed watching the covenant being slaughtered their energy shield lighting up then going down. "some impenatrable fortress," He said with a slight chuckle. He then holstered his pistol not wanting to waist anymore ammo. He turned looking around '' where the hell are all the spartans?" He asked a guy next to him. Funny with all the excitement he had forgotten that they were traveling with spartans.
Zero tried to throw Ten off, but she froze when there was the sound of wrist blades, and Ten had got her in the chest between the armor. Her body seemed to deflate and relax.
Zero brought a hand up to Ten's shoulder, even through the armor he could see it was shaking. But it was not a sudden or violent movement. It was slow and deliberate. Zero let her hand rest on Ten's shoulder plate, "Th-.... Thank you...." She uttered, "Please....do it now..."
Ten stared down at her, what he'd just done was a kill manuever. She wouldn't survive. And here, now, he knew that she could've been saved. But he couldn't let her suffer. He closed his eyes, and sent the blades into her throat, killing her instantly. "I'm sorry..." He whispered, "I'm so sorry..." He felt the tears stinging at his eyes. Slowly, be shifted his positon and picked Zero up, holding her limp Spartan form in his arms. Now he had to find a way out.
Outside the inferno, The PsyCore Overmaster heard the people on the elevator. Running to the door, he opened it, and pointed his gun at the hatch on the elevator roof. Waiting for it to open. "Looks like he had help." He thought to himself, "Time to get rid of that help."
