((oh ok))
Atkins looked around no one fired and he wouldnt of heard anything outside everyone looked just as puzzled as he was he wondered if there was a transmission they picked up but that wouldve been impossible he looked up and saw the speakers but where in the facility did the announcements and things for the speakers come from what room obviously one he hadnt had access to. He approached one of the psycore workers "Where the hell did that come from? And i warn you dont lie to me," Atkins said with an angry look on his face covered by his visor.
((are psycore workers aware of what is happening))
[]Ehem... men and woman lol ^_^ []
The spartan stood up off the table and flexed her shoulder blades. She took a few steps foward and everything felt normal. She felt better now. Maybe the worse part was over, and these people were friendly enough. It was something she was not used to in a medical facility. Normally needles and painfull biogenetic surgery were involved.
When the noise came through the speakers she started to worry. Raevynn was almost sure who was making all that noise and it didn't sound pretty. Raevynn turned to the engineer. "Now that im all patched up is there any way you can return to me my weapons?" She asked politely, hoping there would no more testing involved.
The engineer handed her the shotgun, "You saw your weapons on the way in didn't you? They're all on the rack behind the glass. The code to open it is 040506, simple enough, if you want you can go to the armor to grab more weapons. Here." He tossed her his access card, "That will help."
Up above, the ODST Squad had grouped inside the entrance, "Radio the rest of the faclility. The Covenant have found us." He said, as there was a colossal bang as an Elite started slamming on the door trying to get it open.
Atkins stopped pointing his gun at the workers head and turned his attention to the door. He noticed one of the men was trying to sneak away and grabbed his shoulder. "Where the hell do you think your going?" Atkins asked. The soldier was freaked scared out of his mind he was just a kid but Atkins had lost his pity for people he pushed the kid back up front and told him not to do it again. Atkins stayed his distance from the door he knew the covenant would use any tactics nessecary to get in and the door might hit anyone under it and being the door was so big and heavy plus having covenant elites trample you under it wouldnt be too nice. Atkins moved some of the people a safe distance, he loaded his shotgun and aimed it right at the door that was slowly being destroyed
Keroth raises the newplasma rifle, and the carbine he had before.. "It seems our conversation will have to wait.." Davaran quickly turns... "Do you have anything, battlerifle like? but with a bit more kick?" The engineers smiles as the lights begin to change, a combat awareness.. "Right this way.." He moves to a cabinent, "The mark 204 Battleriflemk2..." Davaran eyes it, the barrel looking more like a mac gun off of a warthog but much smaller.. "Is it a mac rifle?" the engineers smiles.. "Sortof, it's too small to actually work as a pure macgun at this time, since it's not all the way completed... it still uses powdercartages connected to the projectiles themselves.. but with the magnetic coils, it gives it an added edge, plus it still distorts air around when firing, the advantage of 1.5 times the speed of sound.." davaran smirks once more.. "Is it a one shot deal? a sniper rifle like weapon?" "No" the engineer replies.. "No, It fires a three round burst, they are tightly together so it doesn't actually need to repolarize each time it fires a shot, it takes special ammunition, a larger round with a special heavy metal that is very easily magnitized.." He hands three magazines. "This is all we have.., there is 24 shots in a magazine.. oh and here.." He tosses the rocket launcher, two rockets of each type.. "Just in case" Davaran nods and turns to the black clad elite.. "I picked this up on a shelf, a frag grenade packed with thousands of little needles.. only seen one.." Keroth takes the grenade, as davaran slings the rocket around to his back.. the magazines in his belt.. rockets tied onto his backpack.. he and the elite slowly move out of the armory, meeting up with the others in the main halls.
The Elite leaned against the door, exhausted from the ordeal. Two more Elite’s came forward and they resumed their attempts to take the door down, which looked like it’d been through years of use. The door was shaking from the blows being rained upon it, a group of a few Elites could flip over a Wraith Tank, so they could take down this door. The Covenant parted suddenly, and an Elite in silver Armour came forward, and pointed to the others. There was a flash as an Energy Sword flashed to life in his hand, “Stand aside brothers, my blade can take us through.”
He walked forward, and pressed the tip of the sword into the door. The metal turned orange and started to bubble as the sword bit into the door, but it only did about half a centimeter, the metal was very resistant to the sword’s effects. The Elite backed up and started hacking at the door, he was getting through, but slowly.
There was a snarl and a grunt from the Covenant troops, and a Brute stepped forward, “Pathetic Elite. Get out of the way.” He walked forward and roughly shoved the Elite out of the way. The Elite turned and started shouting, holding the sword up. The Brute reached out and grabbed the Elites writs and kicked it in the chest at the same time yanking on it’s arm, ripping the limb off. The Elite roared in agony, and staggered backwards, just as it’s sword came flying through the air and impaled it’s face. Several of the Covenant troops voiced their outrage. But the now ranking Elite held out a hand for them to stop. All they needed now was that chaos. Hw growled at the Brute, “You may proceed.”
The Brute grunted in satisfaction and started raining blows down on the door. He berserked, and the door started to shake under the ape like alien’s brutal onslaught. His fists were now ripped and dripping purple blood from the impacts. The door suddenly groaned and the Brute backed up, and rushed forward, tackling it down. The door blew off the hinges, and landed on the slanted hallway about 5 feet in. The sunlight cascaded down into the facility, silhouetting the roared alien. The Brute stood in the very center of the entrance, the rays of light flowing around him. He roared again and charged, leading the mass of Covenant troops in.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ten gave a shark intake of breath. He was standing tensed facing Karan like she was an enemy, but she was literally an enemy. Standing still as she was also, keeping her pistol leveled at Ten’s face.
The PsyCore hefted the Plasma Auto Rifle. “I expected this outcome, even if I didn’t think you were capable of such a failure.” He grabbed the weapon and walked over to the Bio door, and opened it. “Zero, you’re a failed breed. Kill him, he is of no more use to PsyCore.” With that he walked into the room, leaving them alone.
As soon as the door closed Karan opened up, spent casing fell to the floor as she fired off the whole clip. Ten’s shields flared with each impact, but his visor’s enhanced imaging sensors filtered most of the effects out. With the last shot, Ten could hear his armor beeping, warning that his shields were almost gone. This was a no win situation. Karan was going to kill him if he didn’t resist. He didn’t want to die. And he certainly didn’t want his people to be wiped off the face of the universe this way. He only had one choice. He had to kill Zero. The one thing he’d promised he’d never do. But could he really call this Zero? He wished one last chance to see that beautiful face, but he knew he’d never get it. And if he did, he’d see dull empty eyes. He charged.
Zero pulled the trigger again, click, the clip was empty, and Ten was charging. Dropping the weapon, she took a combat position, and when Ten neared, she ducked and came forward, flipping him over her back and into the wall. Ten slammed into the metal, creating a large dent, and dropped to the ground. In his blind attack, he hadn’t been prepared for anything. But pure hatred and rage was what fueling this fight, and Ten had become a demon of brutality incarnate. He jumped to his feet and took a step forward, swinging a fist so fast that it was a barely visible blur. One second Zero was blocking, the next her shields flared and she was knocking clean into the air, where she landed on her back nearly on the other side of the room.
She swung her legs around and used the momentum and hare arms to jump to her feet just as Ten came flying at her again. She blocked with her arms, though the impact jarred them greatly, and she staggered backwards. Her shield winked out, and next think she saw, Ten’s boot slammed into her visor and a single crack appeared in her vision. The impact knocked her into the air, where she bounced off the wall, the back of her head impacted on the roof. She fell onto her hands and knees, breathing heavily. She looked up as Ten’s footfalls made the floor shake ever so slightly.
Ten moved to slam his knee into her visor for a killing blow, but Zero launched up from the ground, slamming into his chest, lifting him off the ground for a second. (Matrix Bullet Time Ensues) He fell back with her on top and landed on his back, her weight knocking some of the breath out of his lungs. There was a loud szing and the wrist blades shot out of her armor. Ten gritted his teeth and managed to get an advantage. Rolling over he tossed her to the side, and then kicked her in the torso with both legs, sending her into the wall, creating yet another dent. Using the power from the kicked he rolled the other way and leaped to his feet as his former friend was recovering.
Zero got to her feet and as soon as she got orientation, she charged, leaping for a kick to the chest or face, but Ten reached out and grabbed her leg, swinging her around, he tossed her with a colossal amount of force across the room. The angle was slightly downward, so she hit the ground and slid a cross the room, sparks coming from her armor and the floor. She slid into the desk, crumpling it against the wall, and it snapped in two from the weight.
Zero rolled over, at the same time grabbing one half of the desk, and used it to help push herself up. Ten was advancing, and Zero swung her new weapon. There was a loud clang as it slammed into the side of Ten’s helmet. Ten stopped walking, and his head was snapped to the side, but otherwise there was no effect. He advanced further and Zero hesitated before swinging again, this time with much more power. Ten swung a fist to block it, and punched a hole clean through it. Zero tugged to pull it away from him, but Ten was the second strongest of the NANO-Techs, and he yanked back, pulling the weapon and impaling it into the ground, as it was rather useless in this fight.
Zero launched into a flurry, showing the contrast between Ten’s strength and her slight more agile abilities. Using her hand-to-hand skills, that were faster than Ten’s, she got through his defense and started raining blows down on his chest. The thunderous impacts had a visible effect on Ten, who started to stagger backwards from the power of the punches. Suddenly the scene froze, and Ten had Zero’s fist in his own. They were both shaking from the exertion, but Ten swung Zero around him, and she lost some balance. Ten kicked out, a straight powerful and basic attack and Zero flew backwards, into the Bio door, taking the thing clean off the walls, sparks were raining down in the door frame, and they cascaded over Ten’s shoulders as he walked into the room.
There were two people in here now, the PsyCore and the other Spartan. There were cases of liquid, organics lumps of tissue, parts of people and aliens. Everything from a cheap horror movie in this room. There was a flash and Ten ducked just as a plasma bolt hit one of the cases. The glass bubbled and fractured under the heat, before the entire side of the aquarium exploded outward. Ten scrambled backwards to avoid the liquid, whatever it was, and jumped to his feet. He heard the PsyCore shout at his miss, and the destruction of his research. The PsyCore fired again anyway, probably out of anger, and struck a console, which exploded. The sparks and flames reached the liquid on the floor, and it flared up, obviously the liquid was flammable. And it would last a long time, because it was a liquid.
The PsyCore shouted, and then Zero came flying over a counter, crashing through everything that was on it. Ten reached out and slammed both fists into her chest. The Spartan flew up and over Ten, slammed into the roof, and landed on another piece of work, again it ruptured and the contents poured out, nearly the whole floor was covered in an inch or two of bio. This one flared up as well, but the flames were a bluish-green, the entire room was being turned into an Inferno. The PsyCore rushed around the outside of the flames, and ran out of the room.
Visibility was now very low, as the flames were reaching the counters, and more and more of the research was catching flame. The flames now were nearly as high as the roof as Ten and Zero had spent the better part of a minute looking for each other
By now Raevynn had made her way to the armory. She was more than a little upset that she didn't have her original weapons. These would just have to take their place for now.
The spartan sighed as she hefted an S2 AM sniper rifle and straped it to her back. The weight was slightly different, but something she would soon adjust to. She then grabbed enough ammo for it along with a BR 55.
The covenant had already broken inside. Maybe finding her team would be easier amongst the chaos.
The ODST Sergeant cursed as soon as the door was knocked down, and just like all the others, stared at the silhouetted new alien standing in the empty frame. “FIRE!” He shouted just as the thing charged, and the marines guns opened up on the advancing aliens. Muzzle flashes, flying metal, and ricochets countered by a much smaller amount of energy weapons filled the hallway. The Brute was taking an impossible amount of damage, and for something that looked like it could lift up a tank, it was moving much too fast. Finally it died at a shotgun blast to the leg, and it half fell half flew because of the speed over a sloppy barricade onto a marine, blowing through the debris and crushing the warrior. The Sarge swore again, his Battle Rifle swinging back and forth, picking off a few Grunts.
A huge glow attracted his attention, ad he like several others swung his barrel around to face a Jackal who was charging his shot. Several bullets bounced off it’s shield and it couldn’t hold it steady against the barrage, it slipped and was knocked backwards by the firepower of all the weapons at once. But it got it’s shot off. It arced through the air, a marine dove out of his cover just as the shot slammed into it, instantly plasma bolts from an Elite wearing crimson armor snapped his head back, and the marine toppled, a few shots of his bounced off the roof.
A line of Jackals came down the hallway next, and then four plasma grenades came flying over their shields, thrown by Grunts. “Back! Everyone back!” The Sergeant shouted, he turned on his comm., “Where the hell is the rest of the people here?!” He shouted, forgetting or not caring about military personnel. “Where’s our visitors!? One squad can’t hold back this army!” He spun around, firing off the last of his clip, the empty casings fell with to the floor, which was covered. He turned and ran following his men, “The Miniguns!” He shouted. The miniguns would have to act as their backup, since it hadn’t arrived. He swore, the miniguns were supposed to be the second line of defense, now they were going to be the first.
Half a minute later, Ten's voice came over the Com, for the first time it was strained. "This is NANO Spartan 010, I need assistance in the bottom level of the facility in the Bio Labs!" There was a pause where there were some distant gunshots. "The PsyCore Commander of the facility has-" There was a one second pause, then they could hear Ten screaming in agony, the sound was slighty choppy and distorted. The transmission was cut short as Axel cut the transmission.
Ten felt the blades enter the back of his leg between the armor, the screamed as his leg bent out of instinct. Knocking Zero backwardds he fell onto one knee.
The Sargenant cursed, and turned to run, "Corporal the Squad is yours." He opened his comm, "Nuron, meet me in the lower levels." He said, dashing into one of the Elevators, "Your friend needs some backup." He forgot to set the transmission so just Nuron would hear it.
Nola One will be inactive for the next few days due to the upcoming exams. I've taken his charge. *The Frozen Flame strikes again!*
Nuron who had just been moving to assist the marines saw the Sargeant run by, he debated what he should do. Ten was a Spartan and he should be handling this. But it sounded like he did need help. There were a few people in PsyCore who thought like machines, Nuron's views were very smiliar. But they conflicted in some ways. He sighted in and blew an Elite's brains out before turning and running into the Elevator with the Sargeant, "Affirmtaive Sargeant." He said, "Spartan 116, Ten is in trouble, myself and the Sargeant are moving to assist. The escalation of the situation is unkown. You can move down to the Control Room or defend the installation. The weight of the choice is yours." He put a fresh clip into his Sniper Rifle. "But you have to make your choice now!"
"Dammit i knew something was wrong," Atkins yelled. His guns fired blazing at the hideous monstrosities that ran towards him. It was too much they were fighting both the entire psycore station who at first seemed so nice and good but yet so mysterious and their long time enemy the covenant. Atkins was firing at a group of the Grunts that were running off if he didnt take em down now it might come back to haunt him just then he felt something large hit him in the side and it sent him flying into the wall. He had been knocked out for an instant and when he woke up his head ached and his vision was blurry but he could make out a large brown figure it was one of the brutes. This one was bigger than most he had seen, and unfortunately it seemed that it still had its helmet on it didnt bother tp carry any guns. The helmet on its head was covered in blood where he had busted into marines while ramming them along with his hands. The creatures giant bulking body slowly approached him. Once it reached him it snarled and picked him up by the throat. "Yuor time has come you pathetic marine," It said in its horrid growling voice. The brute's arm reached back and slung forward into Atkins face luckilyt for atkins it just broke his visor lucky for him it was a thick visor. the cracks in Atkins visor messed up his view but he could tell the monster was now as mad as ever. It was about to kill him just then a group of bullets pierced the side of his head. Another ODST was there and saved him in the nick of time. The soldier handed Atkins his weapons. Just then a plasma grenade landed on the soldiers back he went running towards the elites and killed several Elites. Atkins had no time to mourn he picked up his guns and took off his helmet he found another marines helmet that was dead and took his helmet. Atkins didnt think he would mind he then went back to killin.
Start
Command lost communicatiosn with the colony Diagona. Sevveral past things led them to beleive it was a simple meteor shower, since the planet has a thin atmosphere. They sent a single ship to investigate.
The ship arrived and detected no Covenant. Two squads of marines were sent down to the colony/outpost to see what was wrong. On their way back they were ambushed.
A second ship jumped into the system, a human ship coming back from deep space. Now the two Human ships and the Covenant ship are duing it out in the skies.
The people retreated back to the outpost/town to hold off the Covenant. Spartann 116 was sent down along with some ODST to help them. Ten got a transmission that there was a PsyCore base in the forest. Once the oppertunity presented itself, all human forces retreated to the base.
All the people were treated well in the PsyCore base, but the tension of being near PsyCore as put them on edge. Recent events involving the NANO-Tech Spartan 010 have made things worse. No one fully likes PsyCore, and some may not even trust them. Mainly the Spartans.
NOW
The base is under attack, and all human's are scrambling to hold of the Covenant. The Sarge and Nuron are heading to Ten's aid. Spartan III Gen. number 116 is deciding wether to help Ten or defend the station.
"Gagh!" said colt. He had been in a small research room for nearly a half an hour. The door had been damaged by a plasma grenade, so the frustration of being stuck in this room while he could hear suppressive fire was aggravating. He felt hopeless. He could hear the screams from the communications console on the other side of the door. Eventually the desperateness of thinking that the retreating marines would leave him behind he made his decision. He would have to use the reactor from his repair kit if he wanted to blow the door, but this could very well give him plasma burns. Colt created a bootleg explosive out of a plasma reactor. It had been fastened to the door and with a carefully aimed shot he hit it. *BOOM*
Everything went blank. Footsteps could be heard advancing towards the room.
