I'll post a picture and some flavor text a day or two before, just for kicks. Given that we've got a week to duke it out, I don't see how a little bit of OOC mental prep is all that significant. If I was in a later bracket I'd still wait 'till then folks. Giving everyone else a month to wargame me would be a bit much.
Prepare yourself, Jinzin. My amalgam has a backstory! 😉
Question for DigiMark007: To what extent are our amalgams aware of the nature of the tourney. These are semi-death matches, but is surrender an option? Is this "real" death or are they to be reconstituted after their battle? Do they know either way? Am I thinking too hard about this?
I'm placing great stock, both in my voting and for my tourney actions, in the state of mind and mentality of the amalgam. When so many of us will be so evenly matched (except for my bouts, of course) little stuff like that can become significant.

That's a valid question. If a character sacrifices an arm and two legs to win the battle, will he be disabled the next round?
To Laminator: An argument of "Spider-Man never kills" or something similar won't be valid. Amalgams are aware of the situation (though not their opponent until they face him/her) and will be assumed to fight to the best of their abilities. Killing isn't the only means of victory sometimes, but usually it will be.
Also, we'll have to have them go back to 100% for each fight, simply because it's impossible to say how much damage is incurred in previous fights.
I feel the need to frther clarify the speed thing.
Let's say you have a class 15, but have some way to boost your strength. That's legal and encouraged....it's pwoer-meshing. The class 15 rule is for individuals, not amalgams.
With speed, the limit for 'Individuals' is Spider-Man. Amalgams, if properly meshed, can be faster.
Sentry has a Class 15 and a guy who is known for his speed. Together he's probably abit beyond the limit. Dizzle has a Class 10-ish, and bracers of speed around his ankles. He too is probably at or above the "limit."
Neither is far beyond the limit though, and anyone with a Class 10-15 will be able to compete with it....I just don't want foot speed to become such an issue. Fighting speed and reflexes should be much more important...and any spider-type is definitely the limit for that.
I had to set 125 as an upper limit for speed just to quiet them in the Sentry/Dizzle thread, but by no means can we place everyone at an exact running rate. Judge for yourself with each amalgam, but hopefully this helps in your judgements.

HOLY CRAP!
Did anybody else think it worked that way? I think we've got a whole lot of amalgams here who were tuned to hit those limits when combined. I know I might have chosen differently. Changing just one character in my trio could make the caps individually but hit class 100+ strength for the amalgam. Did other people do things like that? Is that what you had in mind?

You mean like taking your opponents' weapons once you've beaten them?? No. None of that. You'll keep the same equipment throughout and get re-loaded with grenades, clips, etc. as needed, but no stealing other peoples' weapons.
probably just as well.... i've pretty much got my hands full as it is

yeah... i thought the idea was that the combined guy wasn't to be above around class 20 and spidey speed
otherwise you could've taken Spider-Man and given him Batman Beyond's armour to multiply his strength x 10

But, I'm sorta happy. Cuz I now legally can use more strength.
