And on to my real topic here... Is enhancing speed over the limit with items alright? It seems to be kosher for pretty much everything else, but I got totally shut down in my fight when I tried to. Now I'm seeing EVERYTHING else pushed over the max limits with different combinations, and all of them are pretty much accepted. If it turns out that me putting my guy a good amount over the speed limit because of the bracers was legal, I'mma feel quite a bit cheated. (I already feel I got shafted with the mass-Drizzt ignorance...) My biggest advantages got taken away cuz everyone was all like "he's too fast yo".
If it turns out I'm being legal and such with that, 200 mph loser bracket slaughter here I come. Alllll right.

I think it goes back to some confusion with the initial drafts and how they'd affect the overall amalgam. Some people (myself included) thought that even with all enhancements, Spidey was still the limit. Some people 'rightly' thought that "1 ton strength x 5 enhancement x 10 enhacement = class 50" I guess in your round Dizzle, people were still confused about that point. Or they just didn't bother to change votes. 🙁

Meh, I really didn't have any illusion that I was gonna somehow win this thing... The post was really more for finding out if it's legal later, for the losers bracket. I don't see why it wouldn't be, but I wanted to make it more official. And were this not a comic book vs. forum, I would've started a "Respect Drizzt" thread the day before my fight started, so as to dispel any "but he's just a swordsman, like any other swordsman".
(All the dark elf warriors fear him... they range anywhere from 50-500 years old, most of that spent fighting. I might actually give Benedict of Amber a skill edge, but Drizzt retains the larger badass aura)

Next round of fights will start on Sunday. Again I won't know the exact time, but hopefully around Noon. The current fights (unless they're tied) will also close at that time.
I've been mulling around a first-round loser's fight at some point, with the winner being able to jump into the fight for 3rd/4th place (the losers from the semis matches). So if you've lost you can't win the title, but might be able to salvage some dignity by getting 3rd (and just have a cool fight). We'll see how things go, but it looks like it's going to happen.
Next up is...LP vs. KVD and Zachrivard vs. Dr. Spiderhulk
Oh, and Leto/Drizzt/etc. can be 200 mph for the loser's fight. I fudged up with explaining the power meshing thing, so some of that could be my fault...but hopefully it didn't change the outcome of any matches.

I have to disagree with this..... Scorpion's strength came from the weird process he went through to become the Scorpion.... mixing in Deathstroke wouldn't increase his strength at all.... Scorpion's suit does little or nothing for his strength... it's just a little extra protection and a big tail
What i'm saying is that you're not putting deathstroke through the Scorpion process.... you're just getting the abilities Mac Gargon acquired through it... not messing with the characters history
It's easy to say a symbiote would multiply the amalgam's strength (to some degree) but you couldn't take Spider-Man and Scarlet Spider and claim his strength/speed is the equivalent of Spider-Man multiplied by Scarlet Spider

only if he had more serum with him..... ie.... you couldn't take Captain America and Spider-Man and claim that he's a peak human multiplied by proportionate spider powers.... unless Cap carries his serum everywhere he goes... which he doesn't.... just like Gargan doesn't carry around a lab to recreate his transformation whenever he pleases
