Your guy was great, Dizz. What Master Chief would have given you was recognition. Nothing against our opponents or their characters, but we both lost a significant number of votes just to unfamiliarity. It was an uphill battle just to get our characters' abilities acknowledged, let alone argue considered dominant. When some voters tried to weigh out the different arguments, the characters with whom they were more familiar had a certain "gut-level" credability that our guys didn't enjoy.Young Leto was probably even quicker than Drizzt, given the way that he walked all over Fedaykin. Add Drizzt's skills to that...
Your assets vere seriously undervalued.
Your was pretty sweet as well... I'm fearing for my chances at the losers bracket, solely on Benedict. Drizzt has the equivalent of somewhere between 500-1000 years of experience to a normal person... Benedict's got what, 10 times that? Geeze.
I think Leto+Chief+Drizzt would actually be an extremely good combo, now that I think about it. Energy projection goes down a notch, but that's it. Plasma weapons have actually burned through titanium too, so hurting people from range still won't be too much of a problem. Chief's bones are reinforced (we see the wonders it works for Wolverine...), his suit enhances all of his physical abilities. (now with class 10 strength, thanks to Leto) It's wired into his brain to enhance his already above-human reflexes, which were previously enhanced. Plus he's got precog from Leto. Cortana's there to hack the crap out of everyone else's machinery, just for an added bonus. Oh, and he gets a regenerating forcefield and a suit of battle armor.
Basically, my guy would be faster than he is now, stronger than he is now, and better protected than he is now. The sacrifice: Eye beams. Which are really, really useful... But probably not as much so as the huge physical difference. The more that I think about this, the more I kick myself for not thinking of this combination earlier.
