Street Tourney: General Discussion Thread

I'd just speedblitz before anyone can react with my faster than thought flight speed.

What part of Shocktopus has faster than thought flight speeds? And what would stop Rainbow Bright and GODLIKE from doing a fusion dance and becoming a multi-colored version of Batman, Lord of the Omniverse? They'd Rainbowbatkick your ass straight to Oblivion.

The SpeedFreek part.....way way way faster than thought.

Shocktopus is immune to the batkick...didn't you know?

Luckily GODLIKE has taken whupass to the level of reflex. He doesn't even need to think about it. It just kind of happens.

You know, if not for the "no magic" rule, Rainbow Bright wouldn't have been a half bad drqaft pick.

EsteemedLeader has been banned by one of the Globals for his repeated comments in another forum (which were apparently consistently bad enough to warrant a ban). If newjak wants Mauler back, feel free. But right now EL can't go on and is out of the tourney.

What, we cant hi-jack his character ? ......awwwww

New matches tonight. Scoobless/Jinzin and Longpig/Khellendros. They will stay up for at least a week...and possibly an extra day or two.

Ooh... Grailnighter and Shocktopus.... Ooh...

And Scoob/Jinzin should be quite a fight as well. Jinzin has physical advantages, Scoob's definitely more versatile. I'm excited.

I suppose it wouldn't hurt to say this now...

After drafting I made my predictions. Debating is a huge part of the tourney, so it was very inexact...I've changed some of my estimations of peoples' characters since then. But they were as follows...

1. LP (for the name if nothing else)
2. SF (I thought the Siryn/Dazzler thing would go far)
3. Scoob
4. Nataku
5. Sentry/KVD (I figured they'd lose their first round matches, but one of them would win the bonus round).

...like I said, a lot of my opinions have changed (though I won't say how exactly)...but this is where I originally pegged the participants.

P.S. Good matches right now...I hope they turn out to be good ones. The bonus round was a bit dissappointing, but the tourney still kicks ass!

That sounds so....droolio

Hmm... I can understand me and Laminator not being there, since you were unfamiliar with Leto, Benedict, and Vanth, but no Mauler, Khellendros, or Jinzin? Damn.

If I had to sincerely pick the top 5, debating aside... (I do count it a lot in my votes... So if my first guess as to who the winner "should" be changes quite a lot)

1. GODLIKE. And yes, I'm being serious. He's even got 2 guys debating for him... He's broken almost very limit possible, and still is the most skilled guy in the tourney. Honestly.
2. Khell. He advertised himself as easily the most unhittable guy in the tourney. Little did he know he'd originally (until GODLIKE) be the strongest...
3. Jinzin. Venom's a beast, Taskmaster's a beast, and Sabes is a beast. But this time literally. He's all like... roar. He also wins best artwork, with Sentry and Scoob at a close second. 😂
4. Stormfront. Kid can't type, or argue very well. And he has no idea how to make his own amalgam sound appealing. Contrary to his popular belief, saying "he's way above the limits, but I don't care" doesn't help you in the slightest. Still though, Siryn/Dazzler's quite a combo.
5. Laminator. I actually thought Ben Dreadcrawler was one of the best, for the fact that his form of attacks are much harder to counter than others. (teleporting, then charging his sword blast was brilliant) He'd do very well h2h because of Benedict, but is still probably only average there because of other amalgams' superior strength and durability. Still, I definitely think he got absolutely shafted both going against Jinzin first round and not having anyone know about his characters.

🙁 I wasn't mentioned once.....

Mind you, this was before I was familiar with everyone's picks...this was immeidately after drafting. I'd say what I think now, but that would be unfair.

And as for Khell, youself, and Jin...I just pegged Nat as the best from that brakcet, and thought SF would put the kibosh on Jin in the second round (originally). But that's why we have the matches...because I obviously don't know much (though my original pick to win the thing is still alive and kicking).

Meh, it was you vs. Lam for 5, and I'm biased. Though unleashed, you might give GODLIKE a run. Also, I have little to no respect for Electro since he got taken out with a rock, so...

I think it was pretty recently... SM couldn't get to him, so he pegged 'Lectro in the head with a rock. Goooooooo godly electricity shield!

Oh, shut your pie hole.

Electro acts like an idiot, plus he was in so much pain and was near unconscious due to not being able to release the power of all the city he absorbed that maybe he wasn't thinking right.

He has a shield, he just forgets, like Juggernaut. Anyone who can create an electrical storm specifically to harden the carbon in the air to imprison a foe can create a shield. Hell, he USES a repulser shield to glide, it repulses him from the ground, he just pulls it up over the rest of his body for a real shield.
