Scoob also mentioned a possible "Minimum Post Count" to be able to enter (Dr. SH still only has about 50 posts). I think it might be a good idea. It shouldn't be limited to forum veterans, but some committment should be made before being allowed in.

He doesn't have anything specifically stated... He did, however, jump 15 meters straight up. That's right around 50 feet, which Spiderman would probably be at least pretty hard pressed to pull off. Leto's speed was upgraded a little more than his overall strength, so I'd assume jumping power would be too. So while Spiderman may not have a 50 foot vertical, Leto still might not bench 15 tons. However, this IS the body of a 10 year old with the sandtrout skin, as opposed to the full grown, already past peak human body of Benedict. (which reminds me... he'd be even stronger cuz Benedict isn't exactly human in the strength department)
And hell yes I'm bitter. But because I didn't think of some of the combinations before drafting. I've got like... 7 of em.

This week is the bonus round. Next week (or whenever I close the bonus round) will be Scoob/Jinzin and LP/Khell. Then the final week will be the winner of those two for the title, and the losers will fight in a 3-way match with the winner of the bonus round for spots 3-through-5.

For the record, DS's healing factor is still nothing like Wolverine's... It heals from more damage slower, so he can still be incapacitated for quite some time.
Oh, and all your extra weaponry is for naught when Leto has a mind control technique, which his grandmother (at a much earlier time) used to influece a deaf guy. The thing's called the Voice... It's kind of like a non-sucky Jedi Mind Trick, and is usually verbal, but Jessica pulled it off with body language alone. Gotta love Bene Gesserit. GODLIKE runs up to Mauler, says go find that Darkhawk guy and kill yourself, then waits for the explosion. Game over.

Since I can't ever use these again I should share them with everyone...
During the last tourney I had very little time to plan my amalgam (I filled in midway through drafting for Quick Freeze) and just for fun, by the end of the tournament, I had made some amazing combos...here's a few.
1. Juggernaut, Flash, Green Lantern. Similar to what Scoob did, but with added durability from Juggs. Plus you could use Flash's mind (since you don't have to operate anything like Scoob had with Mjolnir) and any Flash is familiar with a GL ring. Thousands of punches and GL constructs within a few seconds, and very few would withstand that sort of barrage.
2. Mr. Majestic, Magneto, Metamorph - Stay with me here...this gets complex. Majestic, using his microscopic vision, sees that his body has some unique propeties...he fiddles with it and finds he can change his molecular structure. I'm not sure how he would figure out how to use Mag's powers but assuming he did somehow (he's a smart guy)...Metamorph can break his body into smaller chunks. Turn his body into a dense metal, then break the body up into thousands of shards, and control them with Mags powers. You now have thousands of uber-tough metal spikes capable of each hitting with Mr. Majestic punches. And to lose, each of the spikes (all acting independently) would need to be destroyed. Fun stuff.
3. Plastic Man, Phyla-Vell, Surfer - Plastic Man is basically immune to normal physical attacks. Enraged Hulk punches would amuse him. His weakness is energy. Phyla-Vell (briefly "Captain Marvel" when Genis lost the title), can absorb energy on a cosmic level and re-direct it (someone like Bishop would work fine for this too). In those 2, you essentially have a person who's hella-hard to kill using any means (I'm sure some magic-users could figure it out, but it would still be tough). Surfer is just to provide some offensive firepower and to be fast enough to hopefully negate the Flash-types in the tourney.
I had more, but those are the coolest I came up with.
Speaking of which, this sort of "I figured out how to make a guy who is unkillable," is why I would encourage that if there's another tournament, that it isn't amalgam anymore. I'm sure others can do much better than those I came up with, but those give you an idea.

Yeah, amalgam tourneys are definitely out now... People know what it takes to win, so it really wouldn't be quite as good as it was the first time around. Just straight brawls don't really appeal to me either though.
And yeah, my favorite potential amalgam for the herald tourney was Majestic/Strange/Juggernaut. Strange+Juggs=Trion Juggernaut but better. Added in with Majestic's already Flashesque speed, lazer vision and other random useful powers. Surfer could possibly replace Majestic too...
I had a really kickass character set up before i knew the tourney was closed to new entries.
He was
Judas Traveller+Wolverine+Green Lantern
Judas travelers powers are mostly over perception so that would have saved me from most damage (he made carnage believe he couldn't hurt him) while his mind is pretty damn high , with degrees in psychology and such
Wolverine for the durability and healing factor with the Green Lantern ring for a bit of offensive kick.
