Its better to put others before yourself.

No it's not. My mother put others before herself for 16 years and as a result, the level to which she didn't know herself cause so much upset in the family.

Putting others before yourself is why there is so much depression in the world individually, why so many people don't know what they want. Sure, be selfless if you like. But if you can't take care of YOURSELF (because it's you who's living) first and foremost, how can you take care of anyone else? You can't always rely on someone to care for you. You're being illogical.

secondly whats your fetish with evidence and proof? 😬 I don't see you providing any.

I like to back up what I say and I expect others to do the same, sorry you don't share my sentiments but I'm not one who believes in spouting their shit off without backing it.

Hahaha, says the girl who spent most of this thread debating against something she later agreed with me on anyway. You spout off claims, we ask for proof, you can't give it because half the time you confuse belief with fact. If you don't wanna give proof, don't say you have it. If you say you have it, I'm gonna ask to see it.

Stop clinging to others.

well perhaps some end up that way. Others feel good when they put others before themselves. As long as one has their needs for survival and everyday needs, why not put others first? especialy those less fortunet?

I never saw you backup anything yet. you spout saying your wrong, your wrong. WHERE is the PROOF I am wrong?

did you ever think I agreed with you to make you shut up?

So when President Bush is selfish in his goals he's a corrupt tyrant thinking only of his rich elite family and his seat of power..

But when you're a selfish prick it's just logical survival mechanism and helps keep the cycle of life renewed..

Are you sure AC doesn't stand for Ass Clown?

Well you are again, confusing belief with fact. If you wanna care for others, make sure you don't forget to care for yourself.

Why should I have to squeeze through life as a result of concentrating on everyone else? It's my life, they're living theirs as much as I'm living mine. I help those who immediately impact my life. Friends, family and such. I don't help those who have nothing to do with me, because that's not my responsibility. If you feel some moral obligation to help a stranger at the expense of yourself, fine. That's a choice that you made though. I'm not wrong for not doing the same.

Your belief in demons, the paranormal, putting others first etc, these beliefs are not wrong. They are YOUR beliefs. I'm not WRONG for disagreeing, nor are you wrong for believing.

You ARE wrong for assuming and CLAIMING that you can prove those beliefs right. You cannot. You said you had proof, you had none and you later agreed that no human can prove such things to another human. THERE is my proof that you were wrong, your admission.

Well the reason you agreed is irrelevant, it's still true.

On the topic of your beliefs, specifically the paranormal, no human can prove they do or do not exist. You claimed you could, which you of course, cannot.

He chose to be a politician, a job that requires you to not be selfish. A job that means you have chosen to do things to better the lives of others.

I'm not one of those, so that obligation isn't on me.

But you just said it was natural and infact better to be selfish, so he holds no obligation neither..

Let's turn this into the battle royal thread.

Or as it was known in playground vernacular, 'all-y versus all-y'.

first off you quoted SJ and have it under my name...about bush.

1) Live how you want, just remember if you ever in a siutaion and need a strangers help, and they dont help you think about how it could have helped you if someone would of just cared enough

2)why are you still going on about the Paranormal 😬. Its no use and even discussing that with you because not matter what I say or do its never going to be good enough

1) I am not the responsibility of a stranger. So if one doesn't help, I won't complain.

2) Bottom line; You said you could prove they exist. Right? You were wrong, because you can't. Done.

He does because he accepted a JOB that requires you to do things that better the lives of others.

In his life AWAY from the presidency, my point stands. Every human should care for themselves and about themselves first and foremost (and I'm not saying care about no one else). However he made the decision to take up a profession that REQUIRES and DEMANDS you to put others before yourself. I wouldn't ever wanna be a president because I would make a horrific president. Why? Because I believe in taking care of myself and those close to me. George Bush does too, hence why most of his countrymen are getting f*cked over. Because he picked the wrong job.

SJ is my friend. If he is having a problem I am going to be there to back him up. So if you have a problem with him I am gonna defend him, I guess you will have issues with me. Secondly the proof comment was ment for AC not you 😬

how cute 😐

Why back him up by being a cheerleader? He's wrong.

Either say something worthwhile to this thread or say nothing. Don't cheer someone on just because they're saying what you couldn't come up with on your own.

1) fine thats your opinion....but I am also certain if you got mugged in the street and people saw it and just walked past because you were not their responsibility would you still feel the same way?

2)and your wrong, because you cant prove they don't exist. Bottom line!

hello! I am saying plenty. I am just not cheering him on...and would you shut up with the whole wrong illusion.

Leave her be PVS..

i have many friends online.
i guess if i wanted to i could have people rally to this thread
and 'defend' me...but i doubt they give any more of a shit then i do.

i think that the need to have others give you 'back up' is often a sign
of a weak mind, poor debating skills, and most of all an obsession with the superficial. jumping in on an arguement with a "me too" post doesnt make anyone more or less in the right or wrong...just makes you look easily herded.

No it's not my opinion. It's me, speaking factually about me. You have no say in my life or what I think about myself. If I say I am not the responsibility of another random human, I am not. End of story.

I wouldn't want some innocent man to come running in and help me. Why? Because it's not his responsibility and second, what if he got stabbed or shot? I don't want that on my conscience. So no, I'm no stranger's responsibility. No stranger has the right to assume they are responsible for my safety.

When did I ever say I was trying to prove they don't, though? I've never ever ever said I don't believe in them. I only said I cannot prove they do or don't.

I would never claim that I can prove they don't or that they do, no human can. You did, therefore you were wrong. Do you understand me? You claimed that you could prove they exist. You later admitted you cannot, so therefore, you were wrong in making the claim. I never made a claim that they do or don't exist, you did.
