God did make creation and humans perfect. But we messed it up. And through sin there is death (Rom. 6:23). That's why the creation must be destroyed, because God brought curses on it when we fell from perfection (Gen. 3:17-19); and sin cannot exist in God's presence, so He will destroy this creation and make a new heaven and a new earth (Rev. 21).

In fact many places forbid the name of Jesus even be spoken even today and that could result in death; like China. 11 of the 12 Disciples alone were killed for their beliefs; only John died of old age.
