usually biased people say that their favorite player is the best because...and then they list every single postive thing they did.

Tanjot is the one of the posters towards the top of this page. He is completely in love with Vince Carter to the point that it is ridiculous (in the opinion of pretty much every member here). We get in debates with him all of the time and they range from irritating to humorous. Thats pretty much the joke. Maybe with time, you'll be able to jump in on these debates.

ok listen....it is not my fault that u think of me calling vince a top 5 player a joke..if u dont think of him as the player that he is then i can say nothing about it. wade is overrated which we will see when shaq retires, t-mac is injured every other game, and kobe..well...81 points, and no playoff first round victory, kobe is all about kobe.

dude chill out, 😉 the joke is mainly because none of us are really accustomed to someone talking about a player that much. but hey, if you want to express your love for vince, by all means do it. this is why we write in these forums. and if there's one person who doesnt mind it, it would be me, as im a huge nets (carter) fan.

I respect that you are strong in your opinion of Vince. Its as simple as the vast amount of disagreements everybody has had with you over one subject has made it so your name and Vince go hand in hand. In a way it has become an inside joke of the forum and I was just explaining it to RecSpecs.

Gettin old like Duncan.

Kobe is the best and most talented in the league right now. He should be #1. Then Iverson. I think LeBron is superior to Dwayne i8n every aspect it's just that Wade has a better team and Shaq.

KOBE 4 Life.

AHHHH!!!!! all these kobe/laker fans are driving me nuts!

Don't worry. I hate the guy. I respect his game, hate him.

i dont necessarily hate kobe. in fact, awhile ago, during the 00-01 season with shaq, he was one of my favorite players. (now that i think of it...wow, things have changed.) anyway, i dont dislike kobe, but i hate it when kobe fans keep on ranting on and on pointlessly about how he's the best ever and how he scored 81, not that he isnt great and not that the 81 points werent absolutely amazing, its just that yeah, i was too saying, "kobe is a freak of nature," BACK THEN. But its like what 9 months since he accomplished that, and fans still treat it like he did it yesterday. all i ask for is for them to be a tad bit more neutral and keep the kobe exclamations down a bit.

but i do respect how kool manages to be objective about kobe.

I understand. I try not to boast and brag but face facts, no one is as talented or skilled as Kobe in the league TODAY!

I can back him up on how he is better than Wade and Lebron. I believe it is a tie between him and Iverson but otherwise............I also try to stay focused and updated on other teams and players. Of course, this is all my opinion............but I can back it up. 🙂

I agree Kobe is the most talented in the league and may have more drive than anybody else. Although, there are other elements that hold him back. Without even having to say them, I'm sure many of you know what I am talking about. However, he did take a big step up in the playoffs (maybe overstepped though if you ask me).

Thats the thing that will make him the undisputed best player in the game imo, when he can trust his teammates the way he did with Shaw, Horry, Fisher and obviously Shaq then it wont even be debatable.
He can do it, he played facilitator on 3 straight championship teams. His job was to play PG in the triangle and run it through Shaq. Its just that the talent level on the team now compared to then is very different.
I believe that he will play more of a playmaker role this year now the guys are familiar with the offence and we have players that will make wide open shots.

yeah, i guess its fair to say that, heck, id probably be boasting about kobe if he was still my favorite player. 😉

yeah, the lakers really lost some great perimeter shooters. they just need the chemistry to flow more. i think they need to build a little more, and then have a few years experience together.
