😆 Well, not as charming as Pierce of course, but I can't say he's too bad either 😄 He can be cute with short hair 😊

And as for HJ, with the same logic, during the film I'd expect him to transform to Wolverine 😖 I guess you can't help that 😖

😆 At least he'd be believable when he's mad 😄
I never liked AP, IMO he can do one think...play Duncan. Even in that he wasnt really good 😖

They need to go back with a more rugged type bond like Connery was and not the girly man type like moore or brosnen.

Colin Farrell would do a good job, but I hear the producers dont like him at all, neither does brosnen. Clive Owen was the so called first in line for the part.

as someone said, he does look far too young to play the part,

Discos - if he did, imagine this forum afterwards with the threads titled "orlando looks so sexy/babe-ish...hunk" 🙄

yeah, he has been butchered by the producers and by Pierce

it's not cause he has some looks that he is suited for Bond 😛
just look Bloom (to get ontopic again)

😑 How can you compare him to CE?!Not even when he was younger, that wooden delivery...man!😘 Good thing he's a good director, at least that!

It seems ol' Clint is more of a "man's" actor. 😉 He never seems to be a fav amongst the ladies. Still, he DID try his singing voice in PAINT YOUR WAGON...enough said about THAT I suppose! 😮

Maybe he could put in for the next Bond song? 😈

duuuuuuuude! I almost forgot Paint your Wagon... now I got it back in my head 😠

next Bond song? they can easily use it as the new superweapon of mass destruction 😛

😂

i think elton john shud do the next JB song and btw Pierce is not GIRLY

a strong voice is needed

you actually BELIEVE Pierce is girlish? 😆 😆

🤨

the show has been overdone, the movies, the series (not including Renegade, cause it is "uncanon"😉 ...

I blaim it on the show and the storylines 😄

next bond song?

Discos - gives me an idea to steal it for a topic

No one will ever be like Brosnan - he's been around for a long time (I've known of him since "Remington Steele" - what - 20 years ago now? And, noone has come close to being compared to him.

As for CLINT EASTWOOD and HUGH JACKMAN - 😆

I thought the comparison was ridiculous until I saw this photo and I MUST say "YES" there is a strong resemblance.

Just a SLIGHT adjustment to hair and makeup and IF Jackman can act as STIFF as Eastwood - he'd be perfect as Eastwood in a life story....

As for James Bond.... my obvious preference is Adrian Paul - BUT - If you check out Jackman's filmography- he really hasn't done much yet - compared to the length of time Brosnan was known for "Remington Steele" (for example)

Ah, yes - and we've all forgotten we're on the Orlando Bloom thread!!! 😱 😆 😆

Here's the photo of Jackman looking similar to Eastwood. IMHO it's ONLY Jackman's EYES that don't match Eastwood.

I don't see the resemblance 🙁
Hey, HJ has made some good movies too 😄

I dont see the resemblance either.😑
Yeh, Jackman hit big with X-men but he hasnt done much (movie wise).
And yes, Brosnan was, at least for me, very well none before playing Bond.
Isnt AP an American? I hate seeing Americans doing english accents.

erm, EM... brown eyes don't count as a resamblance 😛 certainly since they actually have to be blue 😉

and judging by that pic, he definitly has to do something about his hair! almost all bonds have combed it back (Connery, Lazenby, Dalton and Pierce, not really Moore that was more sideways), definitly not that loose like him

Kes, AP is NOT American - he was born and raised in England. He also knows several European languages fluently (like Bond would) - most people thought he was a "Scot". Incidently - I read an interview with Connery who thought AP was a good choice for Bond - I'll see if I can find it online.

Well, I was surfing "yahoo movies" and came across that picture of HJ just as an advertisement for an old Clint Eastwood movie came on my TV. That's how I saw the similar that someone else (?) had pointed out earlier.

As I noted - Jackman's eyes are NOT the same as Eastwood's (shape of the eye is key) - and for many people the eyes are a big part of whether someone looks like somebody else or not (for example, Wynona Ryder, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Natalie Portman have all had media people or fans claiming that they "look like" Audrey Hepburn - but you'll find a lot of disagreement on that - although all 3 actresses have the big round brown EYES similar to Audrey Hepburn).

What I mean is that Jackman's OTHER facial features are VERY much like Eastwood's - nose (obviously) and facial bone structure, forehead, etcetera.

If you somehow morphed Eastwood's eyes (only) onto Jackman's face - THEN I think you'd all see it better.

BTW - I never suggested that any of Jackman's movies were stinkers. Nor did I suggest that his own performances in the movies weren't good. I like the guy as an actor and he seems to be a decent human being from the interviews I've seen. Plus - he is handsome.

His filmogrpahy is relatively small -
X-Men (2000)
Someone Like You (2001 - with Ashley Judd - not a great movie)
Swordfish (2001 - with John Travolta + Halle Berry)
Kate & Leopold (2001 - with Meg Ryan)
X-2 (2003)
Van Helsing (2004)

Maybe we should reconsider his "commercial" status??? 😄

Perhaps what it all comes down to is "can he do justice to the Bond persona?" - regardless of how well known he is in any given part of the world.
