You know why I honestly think British humour is ill-recieved by rednecks?
It just goes over their heads. They just don't understand the concepts behind what makes the jokes actually funny.
They expect punchlines, toilet humour, in your face, usually offensive and childish behaviour. You know, the easy to understand, lift-up-flaps pop-up book equivalent.
What would happen if God came down to Earth and explained "The Reason Behind It All"? We'd never take it all in. The theory would blow right past us. We'd all be stood there, bewilderred, not understanding the great intricacies of the idea, mouths hanging open as our brains try and comprehend the sheer volume of greatness.
That's pretty much what happens when someone like Jimmy Carr takes a stage in Texas.
