I 've heard that a Brit has been stirring up a bit of controversy round here, but is that because of the uniqueness of the British humour. Who finds us Brits funny and who doesn't ? If not why. No racism or prejudice involved . 🙂
some of it yes. some of it no

Allo, Allo is funny
Monty Pyton is not.

no idea why 😕

Yeah like "Every Sperm is sacred" ....🤨 .....
😆

And I saw a commercial on American TV...for a British show....I can't remember what it was..something aboot Kids .....maybe something with a block too....damn I really can't remeber...people told me it was hilarious...Trigger Happy TV....well....not really that great......and got copied in Germany way to often (at least twice)

Maybe I was too young when I watched it. If I get a chance I'll watch it again.

What else have you seen from the Uk??? otaku

I know what you mean...I just didn't get MEanign of Life and Holy Grail when I was younger.....Life of Brian is easier...but I guess if I'd watch it again I would find whole other aspects funny....

I loved Holy Grail when I was little 😂 I didn't see Meaning of Life or Life of Brian until I was about 14-15, still loved them though.

Stuff I find funny is usually stuff that's really kind of off-the-wall and absurd yet can be smart at the same time...and sarcasm, cynicism, and wit are always a good thing in my book.

Well the other proble I have here is that lots of jokes probab ly get lost when they are translated....Family Guy, Black Adder and Monty Python are much betteer in English...they are not bad in german...it's jsut not the same....I don't really get all this dubbing stuff anyways...screws <ost movies and shows up...

Yeah, that's a problem with dubbing things to another language, so much will get lost in translation. Kinda sucky.

That's also sort of why I don't like the fact that they're remaking a lot of British shows for the US -- stuff gets lost in the remakes, I'd rather see it how it was originally and how it was meant to be.

ok... I just saw a slip for a new show comedy show coming on soon in the uk, Called Spoons

" A man walks into a shop and tells the assistant he wants to buy a bra for his girlfriend, The shop assistant asks him if he knows what bra size his girlfriend is....He says yes... and pulls out 2 different sized Melons from his bag... Then pulls out a note from the bottom of his bag and says 32B.."
