Yes, but the question was: What or who is the best American comedy/comedian to you?

I don't have a favorite.

Which implies you like many, seeing as you've said no comedy Britain produces can compare to American.

So name some of these American comedians or comedy shows the likes of which Britain could never compete with. Or ones you think are great comedy/comedians.

Off the top of my head without thinking back at what good comedies I have watched Dane Cook is a pretty good comic, though a little overated still funny none the less.

Dane Cook? The 6th grader trapped in a Beverly Hills bodybuilder's body? He's funny if you still laugh at things like the word "dick" and other childish sexual innuendos. He's the American Pie of comedians.

So I'm waiting to see who is supposedly better than all these British comedy acts and shows. Say some more names.

Oh AC you make-a-me laugh. You're to predictable. I know whatever one I say you are just going to make up some 4th grade insult to throw at him, hence I just gave you the comic I hate the most. So all I will say is every American comic I have heard beats any British comedy I have heard any day of the week..and twice on tuesdays.

For your information, my favourite comedian ever is American. He's dead, but I'm curious as to who these mass numbers of comedians are that are better than all British comedy. If you name a good one, I'll say so. You named Dane Cook, a man who - if I didn't know his age- would be mistaken for a horny 16 year old.

Surely if there's so many better American comedians you can name them? Come on, no need to suggest I'm insulting you. We're discussing. So discuss. If you don't have any and you're just being a patriot, fine. Don't say it if you can't name any.

Well, Dane Cook DOES suck.

Personally I like Dave Chappelle, when it comes to American comedians.

It will take too long to type out 400 names. I like some of the black comedians when they make racist jokes like Chris Rock and Murphy, also Headburg had some good shows as well.

I'm not saying there are no great American comedians.

I'm just asking Kid Rock to name this myriad of comedians who surpass anything ever produced by Britain.

So type 20. Type 10. Hell, type 5 if you want. I'm asking you to name some, not all.

Name some that are better than every British comedy act ever. You've named Dane Cook, funny joke, but be serious this time.

EDIT: Chris Rock is great, Mitch Hedburg was quite decent. But I'm waiting for names as to comedians who are better than every British comedy act, ever. Like you claimed.

Well all 4 of the ones I have named are better then any British comedy, slightly but they are better. If I were to name the better ones it would just make British comedy look like barney, or something. And I don't want to do that. I'm done with this thread for the night. 😎

Why are they? What about their comedic technique puts them above all the great, intelligent british comedians? If you PREFER them, that's fine by me. But to claim they are actually better comedians than every comedian to come out of Britain ever is dumb.

You said you like those when they make racist jokes. It doesn't take a comedic genius to make a racist joke. It just takes a dullard to think it's funny. Eg: A horrid British comedian named Bernard Manning. People who are impressed by racism think he's funny when he's really just a fat, obnoxious moron.

I think you're confusing preferring certain comedy over other types, with them being actually better.

I'v listened to them, they all suck. Sorry to say but your countries comedy isnt as good as its food..wait..no i should say it isnt as good as your ladies..no..that wont work either. Hmm...I will get back to you.

dont lie to me. it makes you look silly

Bill Bailey is pretty hilarious but honestly i do find american humor to be more funny...not to be cocky or anything 😕

That's fine, I said before that my favourite comedian is American. Brits are more likely to "get" American humour than Americans are to getting British humour, though. When American comedians normally make fun of someone, they just blurt it out or what not. British comedians are generally smarter.

I'm curious as to why KidRock won't name all these people (allegedly 400, he's named 4-5) that he claims are factually better than any British comedy act ever. If he prefers them more, fine. He's claiming they are actually better though. He's named comedians who aren't, claimed they are and now we're supposedly gonna see him name more people and prove why they're better, factually.

Benny Hill kills me... laughing

... and Monty Python is genius. 😉

I like Monty Python now and then and I respect its status but I can't help thinking that it has become The Beatles of British comedy.

While good, there are much better comedy shows, Monty Python just gets way too much credit.

Do americans understand most english comedians??? or are you saying you don't like them cause you don't get there jokes?

These quite a few American comics I've seen that joke about stuff you have to be american to know about... so I just don't find them funny...

I have a feeling KidRock is just a lil too into this country of his. I doubt we even have 400 comedians.
Maybe you should check out Stephen Lynch, Dane Cook, Pablo Fransico and Carlos Mencia. Those are my favorites. 🙂

By the way, Mr.Bean still makes me laugh. 😆

What are you talking about with the first part? Not sure what you're implying. If you are suggesting I don't like American comedians because I don't get their jokes, you'd be wrong. Because a lot of my favourite comedians are American. I'm just curious as to who KidRock believes is better than all British comedians and comedy acts of all time without exception.

Anyone can joke about shit within their own country and have it unknown to outsiders as it were, but The Office, for example...isn't understood by a lot of people here. Nor is Brass Eye or The Day Today. You have to be of certain mind and intelligence to get it. I'm not saying there have been no American comedians who make smart comedy, I think the best comedian ever is American (although Kid Rock doesn't like him I'm willing to bet). I'm saying that if you lined up comic geniuses from both countries, a bulk of the American ones would be found to be funnier because they're easier. The smarter people from both areas would find the smarter comedians, funnier. Which are, by comparison, British. I've never seen American comedians besides Bill Hicks, Doug Stanhope and maybe a couple of others who are on par with the intelligence of the best British comedians.

The best we've come up with so far is Dane Cook, Chris Rock and Mitch Hedburg. Chris Rock is very, very funny. I agree he's an awesome comedian. Mitch Hedburg I can take or leave. Dane Cook, is not funny. Let me stress that point clearly. He is, as I said before, the American Pie/Not Another Teen Movie of comedians. He isn't saying anything different than a macho guy hanging out with his friends. You aren't hearing anything from him that you haven't heard before, which weirdly, is why people find him funny. Because everything he says, they go "Hahaha yeah that would be funny wouldn't it? Oh how embarassing."
