Do The rest of the world find the British humour funny ?

I think she was talking to KidRock, AC.

Personally, I think British comedy is much funnier than the comedy from other countries. That said, I would be willing to back it up with a number of my favourite comedians, and some of the quotes by them... It would show which were funnier easily.

Also, on the Monty Python issue, I think Fawlty Towers was better than quite a lot of their sketches.

I like Monty Python now and then and I respect its status but I can't help thinking that it has become The Beatles of British comedy.

While good, there are much better comedy shows, Monty Python just gets way too much credit.

I think I like the katz in the show more than the show itself.

ok I'll try to make myself clearer....

As a none American I don't know all your TV stars, So when people use there names in jokes. Ie calling someone a fatty... But I don't know the star I wouldn't get it.... And not knowing anything of the sports teams in america I don't get those jokes either!

Most English humour requires you to actually live in England a bit...

So do people not like English comedians cause they don't get the jokes... Or do they 100% understand the jokes, and just not find them funny.....

Of course it´s funny to see a fat guy get chased by a bunch of Policeman in straight lines.

Well I'm English too, so that solves a bit of confusion as to what I'm debating.

I think it's both really. Britain's best have that weird mix of being exclusively British and exclusively intelligent.

whos your fav american comic by the way?

The Incredible Hulk.

(But seriously, Bill Hicks.)

Some of the much fabled english humour there AC... its no wonder they don't like english comics...🙂

You said who's my favourite American comic...I sa...ah forget it.

Well Family Guy could be considered kind of American Humour and also some jokes you need the context they are incredibly funny.....as for comics..I don't really know a lot of them

Oh a funny thing over here we have to different kinds of Comics.....the one that make the more subtle, more intelligent often political huour, and the ones for the masses that everyone can laugh at cause they don't really say anything outstanding...,.

One of my favourate shows is dead ringers... That show is soo funny... and its based on world events...

Half of the jokes are about american politics and G Bush...

Do any american shows take the mick out of tony blair???

They might make one joke aboot him.......but I can't really remember.....and why should they, there'S comedy that doesn't need to involve World Politics....and just think aboot it isn't it rather logical by what we steretype aboot Americans that if other countries talk 50% the time aboot American Politics that they will 99%?

its about not aboot... Unless you want to sound scottish! 🙂

I'm not saying all comedy has to be about politics.. Its just a good show!
