lol, i didnt contradict myself, i was just sayin that her mutant ability does not have a limit to absorb but her psyche does well at its current level anyway, so does her body, but she can overcome these by practice, i thyink{its just like nate grey not beeing able to control his powers and gettin nose bleeds n stuff, but later he overcame that

Yeah Secret Wars were a load of shit. I think Magneto could pull this off. He can just fly up and the Hulk would never be able to tough him but he would be able to keep attacking the Hulk. If it came down to it Magneto could drop a Gama bomb on Hulk and that would end it ,and it would get rid of a bunch of humans so he prolly wouldnt mind.

Hulk doesn't have a "base level" Marvel just gives them a round figure because no one in their directories or in their encyclopedias gets over Class 100 strength...that's just the way it is. What the comic cards and directories tell you about their lifting abilities is their ability to BENCH PRESS that certain amount of weight.

Hulk wasn't bench pressing weight, he was supporting it using his massive tree trunk legs and his back...significantly stronger than his chest.

The only way Hulk was even able to sustain that sort of weight was because Reed Richards started talking sh!t to him while he was holding up the mountain.

I think everyone feels it's safe to assume some part of that gigantic mountain range was touching the ground and Hulk was only holding up the part directly above his head.

And I do most certainly believe the mountain range to be that heavy because in the comic it was said to be a mountain range that could "dwarf the Andies"

If hulk's powers depend on him being angry, magneto could just use his magnetic powers to scoop up a load of prozac from the local hospital, and have it injucted into hulk's bloodstream, making him not as angry anymore

The way I remember it actually happening, was the mountain being dropped....Hulk looking up....being afraid to the pit of his very soul and doing the best he could to stop himself from it hitting him.

A combination of adrenaline and the anger factor is what kicked in instantly. Like when someone throws something at you, you don't wait to get the courage to stop it, you do the most instinctive thing according to your ability. Either duck or block. Hulk's was to brace the impact, he did so.......all 150 billion tonnes of it.

Secret Wars had dubious parts here and there but I honestly don't think this is a questionable one. If anything, Spider-Man beating the X-Men should be. Although I'm not saying that couldn't happen.

Agreed, he wasn't bench pressing it. To this very day however Hulk has never reached anywhere near what he is infinitely capable of. We saw a glimpse when he smashed a hole in Abomination's face. He said himself, if he ever lost control he could smash Earth off it's orbit.

no one here is claiming that magneto is more powerful then hulk but im sayin that with superior tactics, magneto could beat him. just like if xavier went up against magnus, even though he is stronger, xavier would still lose

actually, i found Spidey's butt whooping to be very believable. It wasn't THAT bad of a beating...he just did what he SHOULD always do...which is fly around at mach 5 smacking the crap out of eveyrone.

When I saw that little tussle, it made me think of how bad ass Spidey really is.

lol, badass spidey. well he is one hell of a guy but against the many members of xmen, he doesnt stand a chance in the real world.

Yeah the real world is dubiously applicable to the Marvel world. Spider-Man, given his powers and attitude, should indeed be able to whoop the X-Men. But they don't allow it, instead they let Vulture whoop him.

It was only against Cyclops, Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Rogue, and Wolverine.

Obviously had Jean been there...Spidey would be on the floor holding his brain together.

even then, he should have lost, i mean, colossus, nightcrawler, rogue, storm, cyclops, wolverine, fer heaven's sake, thats too much even for carnage.

Especially for Carnage....Carnage likes to rip and maime things. Spiderman basically just dodged attacks and threw X-men into other X-men.

It wasn't like he sat there slugging it out with them...he just flat out moved too fast for any of them to hit him.

All of them are too slow for Spidey...even Nightcrawler. And Cyclops' optic blast is useless because he could hit a teammate. This is pretty much why I said Spidey's best chance of defeating DD, Captain America, and Wolverine would be if he fought them all at once.

yea well what about collosus, what can he do to hurt him, and rogue{she can fly too}, and storm! {nough said}

I forget what caused it all, but it most certainly wasn't a fight to the death.

Spidey did get some hits in on Colossus, I'm confident he knocked him down, but he didn't BEAT the X-Men...he just roughed them all up a bit.

And what about Rogue and Storm flying? They can't change direction like Spiderman. Storm can't use lightning on Spidey if he's already busy hitting Wolverine because she's fry him too.

It wasn't a fight that went until someone definitively lost or won...it was just Spidey dancing around the slower X-Men.

I really have no opinion about about the X-men spider man thing, but Storm could have easily fried spidy while he was touching logan. Logan will heal very quickly, much quicker than spidy.
