To be honest, I have no clue how much of the "stuff" in Armageddon is fact, but I do know their strategy was about as crappy as my name...only my name is 'poop' crappy and not 'bad' crappy.
I have not taken physics or anything so I couldn't tell you much of anything; I just remember an article in Popular Science about it.

we are not talking about whether or not these two are fighting with their normal set of morals and values. Granted, in a mutant filled world, Magneto would not destroy it. We are not talking about that though, we are talking about these two titans going at it in an all out battle with no regard for anything except for their own lives. So in this situation, he would do it if he couldn't find another way to destroy hulk (which I think he probably would).
Rogue could never absorb Hulk's powers completely. Crusher Creel just about manages to do it, she would never be able to take it. He has no limit to his power contrary to popular belief.
Realistically, as powerful as Magneto is....compared to Hulk all he will be is a guy that can control metals. Nothing he can hurl at Hulk is gonna affect him IF it hits him and he certainly can't tie him up with anything. If he hurls an asteroid at Hulk, Hulk's gonna do Nolan Ryan impressions with it.

well rogue does not have a limit to how much she can absorb but if she absorbs too much, she could potentially die because her body cant handle that much energy. anyway, potentiall, hulk far surpasses magneto, since magneto represents the power of one of the earth's magnetic poles and hulk represents the power of a whole supernova, potentially............. one thing that is a fact is that magneto can never truly hope to KILL the hulk, but defeating does not require killing, im sure that with his superior tactics, magneto can easily DEFEAT, the hulk, many people say that if the hulk got close enough to magneto, he would rip him apart, well thats not true, lets not forget that magneto can also enhance his strength with his magnetism to class 100, he has been demonstrated the power to at least HURL AWAY, 37000 tons. and ofcourse, hulk can grow stronger then that but it takes him a lot of rage and time to do that, and if magnus can hold him off just that little while, his tactics would easily overcome the green behemoth{like say, while hes fending hulk off, he can generate a magnetic shield around himself and fly out of the atmosphere, the shield would protect him but in under a minute, the hulk will be unconcious. not to mention that he can accelerate himself at many kilometres per second because of his powe over magnetism.}

yea but even if he jumps a hundred miles away, a meteor strike would get to him, even an h bomb effects at least 200kms. and a meteor is whole different story, do u know that the comet{meteors are denser and more devestating than comets}that hit jupiter was only around the size of three football pitches but it left a mark which had an area of over 2EARTH SIZED PLANETS. but i dont think that anyone would do sumthin as stupid as that, since the comet wont just affect hulk, but itll also effect magneto, unlesss ofcourse magneto is ini space or sumthin, which destroyes the whole idea of a verses fight.

I don't believe Magneto can outsmart Hulk with tactics purely because all he can essentially do is use his manipulation of metals. Dr.Doom could outsmart the Hulk for the win because he has MANY MANY more things than Magneto at his disposal. I don't think Magneto could.

Not to be a pain in the ass, but there are alot of things in Secret Wars that were a load of shit. This being one of them. I'm not saying he couldn't lift 150 billion tons, because his strength is infinite. I'm saying that since his base level is 100 tons, it shouldn't matter if he was angry, calm, or scared to death, it should have taken longer than a nanosecond for him to be able to hold up 150,000,000,000 tons.
