I don't know if their necessarily "racist". I think they disagree just to spite storm fans.
Although racism and sexism will always play a part in the psyche of people(especially white males) when dealing with black archetypes, usually when they are demonstrationg some sort of "superiority" over white(specifically male) archetypes.

This pretty much demonstrates thors weather manipulation to be above anything storm has ever displayed in terms of weather control (unaguemented). Also note that unlike storm whokes a long ass time to conjure up something nasty Thors doing these things instantly.
