Why?

You should have answered him. Why didn't you? wanted to reserve beinng able to say you never said you'd read it?

G'night.

I'll be back.

Yeah, not responding to people is a good way to get credibility.. of which you have none.

Let me be clear, you all are wasting your posts on a person who can't see beyond fanboyism, is a common troll or a person with a chip on their shoulder over a comic book character. Three out out of four mods have already called this person out and yet here we are with the same ridiculous debate. It's beyond pathetic that all of KMC agrees, sans two or three people, the outcome. Do everybody a favor and don't waste your posts on people who talk in circles, use veiled insults and change the topic every time they are proved wrong.

i shall head your word

but before i do,

Thor wins 😆

I need something to occupy my time during these night hours.

DUH!

Everyone knows this.

But in the context of Storm's powers I want you to:

Explain with a canonical example and corresponding, corroborating scientific evidence.

That's what I'm getting to, isn't it. Let's keep talking so I'm not looking through these scans, huh, Edith?

I think we might have to have a conversation about where real science and comic science meet and split.

Wow, a being of "undefined energy".

It's only true.

Thanx for supporting my analysis of "no clear perameters". I guess you were trying to find a way around Stardust being like a "star" which would make me correct in my assertion that she can manipulate them(stars).

Oh no, I completely agree that she can and should be able to manipulate solar energy. It all ties into the countless times I've described how I think Storm's powers work.

Still, none of this is cogent to the point that she did what she hasn't done before.

1.She needed Hydrogen atoms to create the lightning in an earlier issue.

2.She needed none in the next issue.

3.She showed direct control of water by controling the phases of matter(liquid to gas)

All points that were argued on the McDuffie board.

All things we have never seen her do.

The hydrogen thing... still weird. It's electrical current. It'd be vital to controlling solar wind in space and she's already done that. If she hasn't turned liquid into gas before, I'm honestly surprised. That should of been under her belt already. Was it electrolysis-like?

I could've SWORN in the Iceman vs Storm thread I said she could do the SAME thing to Iceman that she did to Hydroman.

People laughed and called me a retard, though 😂

I vaguely remember reading that but I don't remember getting involved. Most Iceman threads are lame.

And yes, I will read your analysis.🙄

If the above "fire" analogy is any indication then......

If you're as disappointed at that as I am disappointed at the number of these scans that actually fit the criteria I specified, you're going to be double disappointed.

Really? Then why give me so much to reply to?

This is only like one line but it compares it to sculpting clay, which requires a delicate touch. Usually if you try to force clay to do something, you screw up your project.

This one isn't much better but she's floating there thinking about how she can't force the current to do her bidding. In fact, the way she describes it it's as if the elements are living and she has to guide them to do what she wants or they will resist and the process becomes more trouble for her.

She also says she doesn't have the raw strength but she is also at the bottom of an undefined foot deep body of water so that can't help. I don't know the story behind this situation, or rather before the situation, and I don't imagine you do either so I can't really make a call on that aspect.

These are all the scans that did not have descriptions of how Storm's powers work. Most of them were describing what she was doing, what she did, or what she could do. Some where the energy vision. One or two didn't have words on them at all. Awesome.

Didn't really give me much to work with. But then again, I didn't expect you to spend much time on it anyway so it all works out.

The solar wind thing was retconned to her using her jet pack. as it was obvious that the author did't realize that solar wind was plasma discharge from the sun, and not actual wind that could be used like regular wind.

and solar wind has nothing to do with actual weather phenomenon.

quite the long thread this is turning out to be. there was even a scan of storm acknowledging thors superiority yet it churns on. my vote is still with thor.

Spite thread.

Reported.

Or it can speak to power as she is sculptress and the clay is subject to her.

X-men Unlimited 7 or 8.

Both Storm and Yuriko go careening out of a window(I forget the cause) and into the ocean.--a new medium for Storm to manipulate.

This is a similar instance that comes a few issues after

You could have at least TRIED and said "She made a fluid behave like a gas(air)" 🙄

Needless to say, I'm left largely unimpressed and disappointed.

You offered no true analysis for the reasons WHY it should be interpreted that she's doing things the way you describe, and how that actually correpsonds to the science that you like to hold her to.

Thanx for the effort 🙂

There was an actual discussion about that on here.

I'll find it.

I don;t think it was retconned.

True, I think the One instance where she did control a solar wind was retconned though. In Classic X-Men...it's been re-written into lightning...instead of a Solar Wind.

Uncanny #99(June 1976)

Retcon takes place in Classic X-Men #7(March 1987)

Claremont wrote both issues.

Okay, this thread has had it's run. Too many reports coming out of it.

Closed.
