I think the term 'race' is a little bit self-defeating, when applied to various subsections of humanity.It's a flawed taxonomy. It would be craziness to subdivide the various types of spider into spider-races, rather than simple subsets.
The fundamental stupidity is that in, for example, the case of spiders, there are a lot of genuine differences; in humans it is aesthetic for the most part, with very limited other discrepancies that are of little consequence.
It's not so much bull terrier and German Shepherd, as two differently coloured bull terriers.
