He didnt turn Spidey and DD into statues. He cocooned them in hardened energy. They were only encased. Not fully stone.

You see kids this is why you don't discuss Superman vs fights on the board cuz its always the same.....................................SS is a matter manipulator to a PLANETWIDE scale a little more then a bruiser.

Turning someone into stone shouldnt kill them. GL has turned people into energy themselves, turned himself into a metal robot and has even increased his size as well as shrink someone to the size of a apple.
