I agree with that. It shows Superman's only leg up is his superior strength, nothing more.

Surfer hasn't every shown a limit to his strength amping ability, so Superman might not even have superior strength going for him.

But show a strength feat of Surfers? Superman is going to stand there and wait for Surfer to amp himself in strength. In that case, he should have thought of that countless of times in his fight against Thanos. 🙂
