Naruto flicked his nose with his thumb in a rude gesture. " I don't care what your weird nickname is- I, Uzumaki Naruto won't lose in a snowball fight - tebayo!" He said arrogantly. He picked up a handful of loose snow and curled it into a ball. He tossed it into the air, and pointed to his "opponent" He smiled as a crowd began to draw near. He began thinking in his head, "ha, now everyone will recognize me as Konoha's number one snowball ninja!" He threw the snowball hard at Ryu, then formed a hand symbol, not bothering to see if it hit it's target, and said "Kage bunshin no-jutsu!" Three shadow clones popped out of thin air and they all pointed to Ryu. They each bent down and picked up two snowballs, then hurled them at the "ice demon"

Shikamaru was passing through Konoha, on his way home from shopping, when he noticed a large crowd gathered around the base of konoha's famed sledding hill. "I wonder what's going on" He said passing by, his hands in his pockets. Then he heard the loud "TEBAYO!" from the crowd and stopped. He closed his eyes and tisked "Naruto." Curiosity got the better of him, and he approached the crowd.
Ryu also made hand symbols or koji (i think thats wat it is in japanese) "water clone jutsu!" Ryu said as 3 water clones formed "i can control the snow like garaa controls sand, but i think i'll give you a chance at winning" Ryu said and the clones make snowballs and started throwing them at naruto and his clones and ryu ducked for cover and controlled the snow into tons of snowballs and flew them towards naruto "snowball blast jutsu" ryu said jokingly
"ah-YA-ahh!" Naruto said as he jumped around in crazy attempts to dodge the flying snowballs. "This is getting serious," Naruto said, his eyes shadowing, "I'm going to have to pull out some serious jutsus." He made a fist with his hand and punched the last snowball dead on, the snow spraying the onlookers.
"So this guy can use snow like Gaara...." Naruto started thinking, while he also ducked for cover. "And Lee was able to hit Gaara because he was so fast...so all I have to do....is go wicked fast!" He said smiling and making the peace sign...then it dawned on him: "...I'm nowhere near as fast as Lee...." His shoulders drooped downward in defeat. Three more snowballs came at Naruto in succession, and he cartwheeled out of the way of the barrage.
"But I can do ONE thing that Lee can't!" Naruto made the same familiar hand signs, and yelled "Tajuu...KAGE BUNSHIN NO JUTSU!" 40 shadow clones appeared and surrounded Ryu. They all gathered snowballs and threw them with dramatic force, directly on Ryu's position. The snow sprayed all around them, and Naruto wondered if his attack worked

the snow spray settled ( lol, sounds really wierd ) and Ryu was in a dome of ice making hand symbols "water clone jutsu" ryu cried as 40 clones appeared and made hand symbols and all turned into naruto and mixed in with the shadow clones. the ice dome went down and ryu grabbed snow and dissapeared (like when the ninja jump away really fast)

Naruto went to jump towards an attacking clone, but stopped in his tracks. His arms automatically bent to his side, and he was forced to turn around. Then his arms went up over his head, bending his wrists with his fingers pointed against the tip of his head. He was forced to look down, his shadow was extremely long.
"Kagemane no jutsu Success." Shikamaru said, his arms still over his head. "Let's go Naruto, I bet you haven't even finished all of your christmas shopping for Hinata's party." He said scolding the blonde nin.
"Hinata is having a party?" Naruto asked confused, still in the strange position.
"Yeah, now let's go. Plus you hit me with a snowball. Sheesh what a troublesome guy." Shikamaru said putting his hands in his pockets. The crowd spread out to let them pass, as Naruto - still caught in the shadow possesion - was forced to follow his genius friend.
Shikamaru shrugged. "How should I know if you can come? It's not my party. Party's are too troublesome" He said walking away from Ryu, not bothering to even look behind him.
Naruto snickered at Ryu "Ha who would want you at a party? Big-shot baka." He said laughing.
Shikamaru's eyes got darker "Quiet Naruto," He turned towards Ryu "It's Hyuga Hinata's party." He said, his hands still in his pockets.
Shikamaru sighed. "The Hyuga compound of course. She is the heir of the main branch." Shikamaru and Naruto continued to walk away. "But I wouldn't want to just invite myself." Then they were gone.
"Sheesh what a troublesome guy. Your friend Naruto?" Shikamaru asked, putting his hands behind his head.
"No I've never met him before." Naruto said shaking his head. "I'm really excited for HInata's party though! Yee-hee!"

Shikamaru jumped when Ryu landed out of the tree nearby. "Jeez doesn't this guy ever leave us alone?" He thought to himself. "Yeah...I'm sure the "demon" is really scary and troublesome, but like I said, Naruto and I have to go." He pulled Naruto by the shirt collar.

"Yeah Yeah snowman, go back to your igloo." Naruto said mockingly, clearly outclassed. "We cool shinobi have a party to go to, so leave us alone tebayo!" He said shooeing off the snow demon.
the ground beneath naruto turned into black ice "don't mock me i can control the water in your blood, i could turn it into ice killing you it would be like millions of tiny tiny needles poking through your blood vessels, but i'm sure if you were a real shinobi that wouldn't hurt, hey if your a real shinobi or ninja, whats an iga samurai?" Ryu asked with a smirk on his face
Naruto squinted at Ryu, then looked down to the black ice on the ground. "Listen frosty, shikamaru said we have to go, so goodbye." He turned and walked away again.
Shikamaru just stared at the new arrival and said "No...no you can not see how good I am. At whatever ur talking about. This day is starting to become really bothersome." He started to leave as well.
