tell me why he COULDN'T throw him into space. if hulk did THAT to him in a book, it wouldn't be much of a fight . . . unless you don't think thor (who can lift 100's of 100's of tons) COULD thrown him into space . . .
i agree, it's a stupid way to win a fight, but there's no logical reason why he couldn't do it . . .

actually, smax, those posts were in response to a previous poster telling me spidey has had great showings against juggs, hulk and other cl100 opponents. fact is -- no he hasn't. not ONE cl100 opponent has spidey done ANYTHING against. juggs, hulk, abom, morlun -- he has been able to do nothing physically to make a difference against any of them. he HAS scored wins with plot devices or by out-thinking them. this kind of setting is meant to eliminate plot devices.
the point? it's like 3 ants and a bee v thor. spidey would be effectively useless in this fight (as he has been against other cl100 opponents -- if you doubt it, name a cl100 foe he HAS beaten in a straight up fight)other than as a distraction. dd is completely useless (unless you honestly think his billyclub will do damage to thor . . . in which case i can't help you much.) cap, in a non-bloodlust skirmish had a good showing v thor, but again, that wasn't a 'real' fight. with his shield he might get a hit and do some minor damage, but again, he too isn't doing much to hurt thor. wolvie is the only legitimate threat, but even he isn't gonna do enough damage. and once again, why not throw wolvie into space? with wolvie gone, they have no, that is ZERO, chance.
they take 1/10 based on perfect timing and wolvie being able to land some really horrible shot before thor catches him and launches him into orbit where even his healing factor doesn't do him any good.

Could you post the first fight between spidey and juggernautt, when spidey did pretty well and the powerful juggernautt couldnt beat the pathethic spider man? could you post the pics of thor fighting juggernautt in his own series, first encounter, and juggernaut almost killed him , and thor was saved by the group of firestar? Could you post the time that thor was almost killed, with his hammer, against a poor female version of sand man, a guy who is regular beatby spidey? Could you post the first spiderman number with the hulk in it, and what spidey did? could you post the pic when spidey lift a car and throw it to the sagave green hulk? could you post some of the others encounters between the hulk and spidey , in both spidey and hulk series, in when the majority of the times spidey did pretty well? Could you post when spidey humillates namor in a ship near to the sea, where namor is most powerful and is class 100? Could you post a pic when spidey humillates the most avanced iron man armor from the future only with his fists? Please, posting that spidey never didnt well against class 100 people is stupid.

This team has a very big great chance against thor without his hammer. No doubt about it. Plus, they are four people, not only one. Four very fast and trained people who are specialists in beating most powerful people. Spidey with firelord, namor, iron man, juggernaut, lizard, sandman , doctor octopus, fantastic four or the x men. Cap with mister hyde or the same namor. daredevil with the same hyde. Wolverine with wendigo or saberthoot or another powerful x men foes. This team could beat thor without his hammer.

And Morlun... that had to be one of the longest Spider-Man fights ever. True he couldn't beat him (that says a lot about Morlun, not so much about Spider-Man) but don't forget Morlun couldn't beat Spider-Man either.
