My proclivity for smoking pot, has NEVER effected anyone else. The "it's illegal" agrument is why my mother hates pot... But, that's also why she's never done it. I might have aneed to escape...but as long as it hurts no one else...it isn't their issue.

I hope you realize that life is never that simple. I was listening to the radio (I think it was the Lars Larson show) and they were talking about drugs and how stupid people were who take drugs. It's funny being moderate, you get to laugh at both liberals and conservatives. How I feel about it is this way: Moderation in all things, including moderation. Sometimes you have to party, just don’t let it take over your life.

But, while I enjoy laughing at both...I, personally, think the way I think.
"Illegal drugs" are one thing...but I think that any natural drug should be legal.
My difference is that man-made drugs should not be legal. Hence, the responisbility of government.
Yes, sometimes "I" do have to party!...but other's don't have anything to do with that opinion.

That is where you've missed my point before AC....
There are drugs I DO NOT use, that I believe should be legal...
I DO NOT support the legalization...nor the continuation....of man-made drugs, be they legal or not legal, because they ARE detrimental to the human condition.
However, I'm not a libertarian...
My support of "legal drugs" doesn't imply my denial of opinion.
Support self-desrtuctive drugs all you want...
But!...I am in favor of government....just not it's right to intervene in ANY/EVERY aspect of human existance. To do otherwise, would support some aspect of anarchy. To which, I do not subscribe...
Government is a relevant aspect of evolution...therefore, essential to it's continuation.

I'm not only speaking of "self-destructive" drugs..."Self-destructive" is relative. I despise the governments RIGHT to intervene...but I respect their purpose for doing such....
Pot CAN be self destructive...but "I" don't believe it to be.

but, they effect others differently...
I like cocaine...I Don't pay for it...but I have used it....and I have seen others whose' lives have been DESTROYED by it...
But, man-made drugs that 'I' have encountered have fu.cked up people's lives...not just because they are dependant on them....but because that is the nature of the drug. I've taken Ambien to fall asleep, and experienced a more profound "hi" than I have on ANY drug I've bought off someone. Trust me....
If you don't know what I'm talking about...then you should try it.
It's the kind of "high" you WISH you could forget.
I've smoked a shit load of ganja, too much hash, taken about 5 Round Ones, sniffed a load of coke on one particular night, then didn't again for a year - after which I sniffed it amply over the course of a month - and I twisted my fragile little mind on 'shrooms only once...
Don't do any of it now - bar the odd spliff when I'm chillin' on a beach - but it's all good, if that's what you wanna do. Just be sure to listen to your mind if you think it's telling you enough is enough...
Otherwise, the only 'bad' things that happened to me while 'outtamygoddamnfreakingmind' were that I saw an odd up-side down penguin hanging in a tree near a lake whilst on 'shrooms; I laughed a lot, freestyled and watched a load of stupid weird movies when I was stoned; My friends and I did believe that there were 'invaders' at the door when we ate too many hash-cakes and I also remember thinking I was probably the coolest person I know after I had done more than a little coke. As for the pills, the first 3 were amazing, but the second 2 were only OK, so I decided to give 'em up.
Obviously, I am omitting the episode where I scalped 3 cute kittens, which lead to the period where I would mug old ladies, followed by my numerous convictions for breaking and entering and finally - the coup de grâce - when I began running amok stabbing people because I thought they were looking at me funny, but I attribute those occasions to the drinking water which is infected by a fungus that turns people into red-eyed, zombie-freaks.
