Also, I wouldn't consider that incineration, personally.

New 52 Superman already used his heat vision to perform an EMP like burst to fry Luthor's equipment way back in Morrison's first arc.

That was HV, not X-Ray vision, not gamma waves.

More on MOS' Speed:

Connects with opponent before Lightning Man could react:

Stated to almost rival lightning:

Achieves Escape Velocity (25,000 mph) at mach 32:

Pretty much as fast as Kid Flash.

That's what's called transmutating powers, ergo, inventing new powers from old ones. Let us not forget that the power set he has now is a discovered array of super powers. No limits is not a fallacy here, he needs to learn new powers, any Kryptonian is limitless.

I don't agree at all.

Finding new applications of existing powers is not the same as inventing new ones.

It's credit to Superman's ingenuity over utilizing his power set more so than him evolving new powers.

pretty much imo.

It is basically "Super vision"

Which can become any type of energy Superman needs or the writer needs him to have

Be that Gamma, Heat, emp. 4D, telescopic, microscopic. and his vision powers affects molecules too, so it works in a molecular level.

Brainiac owns Orion, Lightray and pretty much whole New Genesis with TK.

Then he merges with a portion of his power which was used to create a mental creation of Superman's exact double (it was tested to be superman's equal repeatedly and even went toe to toe with superman) to be even more powerful

Superman beats the shit out of the more powerful Brainiac

Thought I'd contribute some to the thread. I'll start with examples of Superman's healing factor.

Here, Superman has a Kryptonite bullet inside him. And despite the fact that it's slowing his healing, Batman is still unsure of if he can remove it before the wound closes up.

Here, Superman heals from wounds caused by a "Daemon" succubus. Although it's unclear how long it's been, if you see, the bruising is completely gone, and Doctor Occult remarks on Superman healing quickly. This is actually from one of the YEAR ONE Annuals of Superman's titles, thus it's Byrne-era power level for Superman.

http://s1199.photobucket.com/user/Delta1938/library/Healing%20Factor/Daemon-Caused%20Wounds

Here, Superman gets a 5th dimensionally created bullet through his hand, and shortly after remarks that the wound has already healed when Batman and him wonder how that happened.

http://s1199.photobucket.com/user/Delta1938/library/Healing%20Factor/Heals%205D%20Created%20Bullet%20In%20Seconds

Here, Superman gets cut by the Royal Flush Gang members when they're 2 dimensional(and "infinitely sharp" according to Batman). He heals the wound pretty quickly.

http://s1199.photobucket.com/user/Delta1938/library/Healing%20Factor/2D-Cut

When Superman had his throat slit at the end of the SACRIFICE fight with Wonder Woman, he heals it fairly quickly.

http://s1199.photobucket.com/user/Delta1938/library/Healing%20Factor/Heals%20Slit%20Throat%20In%20Moments

And repeats the feat, this time while exposed to Kryptonite.

http://s1199.photobucket.com/user/Delta1938/library/Healing%20Factor/Heals%20Throat%20While%20Exposed%20To%20Kryptonite

http://s1199.photobucket.com/user/Delta1938/library/Healing%20Factor/Heals%20Throat%20While%20Exposed%20To%20Kryptonite

And here Superman has Kryptonite in his blood(the iron in his blood transmuted), gets stabbed with what appears to be a Kryptonite sword, and quickly heals the wound after the sword is removed from him.

http://s1199.photobucket.com/user/Delta1938/library/Healing%20Factor/Kryptonite%20In%20Blood

Here, Superman fights The General/Shaggy Man with Steel at his side initially, then later joined by Martian Manhunter and Orion and his dog Strummer(although all fight to varying degrees with Superman the most and J'Onn virtually not at all). Superman doesn't look too great if you focus on him, but you see his fists and heat vision do more damage than Orion's Astro-Force blasts. And he goes at it quite a bit with The General.

http://s1199.photobucket.com/user/Delta1938/library/Superman%20VS--/Villains/The%20General-Shaggy%20Man/WWIII

Here Batman starts fighting Atomic Skull, Superman comes in and saves Batman, then ends-up containing a meltdown.

Not sure if SUPERMAN/BATMAN/WONDER WOMAN: TRINITY is canon or not for New Earth. But I'm adding from it anyways. This is either the original Bizarro, or the second one, but the two Bizarros created from Lex Luthor's process of copying Superman(not cloning him) shown in Byrne's MAN OF STEEL, not the one created by Emperor Joker. Anyways, Wonder Woman gets owned.

http://s1199.photobucket.com/user/Delta1938/library/Comparing/Bizarro%20I/B-S-WW-TRINITY/Wonder%20Woman

And Batman(without sneak attacks) with gear he normally doesn't use is about to be killed.

http://s1199.photobucket.com/user/Delta1938/library/Comparing/Bizarro%20I/B-S-WW-TRINITY/Batman

Superman twice treats Bizarro like he's not much.

And then when saving Batman--

Preus had wrecked Martian Manhunter pretty quickly.

http://s1199.photobucket.com/user/Delta1938/library/Comparing/Preus

Superman did far better by comparison(although needed J'Onn's help on knowing where to strike) despite the fact that he was suffering from Kryptonite poisoning that had artificially aged him and weakened him.

More to come later.

Great addition. Superman's healing factor needs more exposure and examination. Looking forward to your next post..

BtW, is it allowed to post feats from the Injustice universe? Superman is a monster there!

It says Superman not a specific version of him. Go for it!

Energy Superman absorbs the energy of whole planet from a machine which was going to destroy it and channels it back to the planet.

He channels the combined psychic power of J'onn, Tomorrow Woman (far more powerful psychic than J'onn) and Aquaman from moon to earth and blasts 10 million people with it.

Superman WHILE VULNERABLE survives a sucker blast from a full grown Anti Monitor, after taking a beating Kara saves him.

This is quite impressive considering that Superman was vulnerable at that moment and that He survived a full grown Anti Monitor sucker blast.

And Yes this is canon for Superman either Pre-crisis or Post-Crisis

Powerless Clark infiltrates Kobra's mansion, beats several armed soldiers and blows the mansion up. Then infiltrates another heavily secured area of the hideout.

Fights Bizarro for whole days all around the world

Weakened by Emperor Joker Superman vs Ignition who casually breaks his leg and was curbstomping superman untill he threatens lois after which Superman oneshots him.

Ignition was hella powerful, he oneshot killed Superboy and Supergirl and oneshotted bizarro.

Superman oneshots bizarro.

Uses an AOE HV blast to destroy nano-mechanisms in a mob without harming anybody.

Ridiculously awesome.

That...is pretty intense. For his tier, Superman has one of the best powersets going and as a rule, uses it really, really well.

Really? I think he has the worst powerset for his tier.

He's just really, really smart.

That don't hurt.

I like the simplicity of Superman's powerset. It's basic, human ability taken to the Nth degree, with flying (all-purpose transit) and HV (ranged energy attack) thrown in. It lets you do a lot without being so encompassing that's there no adventure in doing anything.
