SSJ3 Goku could have killed Kid Buu with a Kamehameha wave, but his attack ended to soon (he left Buu with a little cell left). But then ssj3 Goku ran out of energy, so he couldn't use a full blast Kamehameha wave a second time. That's why when he was using the spirit Bomb, he need the people from Earth and Namek to destroy Buu, because his energy alone (since he wasn't capable of transforming any more to full power) wasn't enough. Dende head to restore his power, so he could finish Buu off.
Superman can destroy every single Cell in S. Buu body, if there are some left, he can simply use his X-ray Vision to see whats left of him before he can regenerate, finishing him off for good.

1. you just said kamehameha is less than planet destroying blast yet buu blows up like 120 planets one after another with his force and comes back.

When Buu destroy planets they destroy his body along with it. Superman doesn't have to stop using Heat Vision, he could stand right over S. Buu until he destroyed every single cell in S. Buu's body.
