Interesting. I gotta say, it's really annoying that we still don't have word on the condition of the characters involved in the Alpha/Collective fight. It's been like, 3 issues since it happened.

How do you think I feel? I'm dying to know what happened to them and what's going to happen to AF in the future as it was suppose to be AF final battle.

Alpha Flight vs. The Hand
Alpha Flight #109-Alpha Flight is continuing their World Tour traveling to countries to learn how the government supports their countries super powered team. This stop sends them to Russia. The KGB calls in Alpha Flight to deal with the Hand who has taken over the Omega Red facility and now must help save the Russian commenwealth by destroying the building. This issue downplayed Alpha's powers, but it still had it's moments

Feats shown:
-Aurora carrying two Hand ninjas using her speed
-Weapon Omega makes a comment that he was trained by the best
-Puck speaks Russia and recognizes the KGB HQ
-Heather shows she is a true leader, "the bottom line is there are lives at stake. Russian. Canadian. It doesn't matter"
-Sasquatch shows his comic side
-Aurora performing a flashbang blinding the Hand
-Heather sends out a multi-direction blast
-Aurora switching to her Jeanne-Marie personality and creating a massive explosion
-Heather blows a hole in the chest of one of the Hand

I've had a Pm or two about Shaman. What's the word on him? Strange-level magic is banned (too many freaking loopholes in his spells) but if he's pretty straightforward, it sould be fine.

Shaman has 'handled' some of the great beasts in his time... i'm thinking maybe we should ban spell casters, they're too annoying to argue for/against.

magical weapons like Mjolnir are a lot more straight forward and aren't a problem but a character who can warp reality with a few words or a hand gesture shouldn't be allowed in this, or future, tourneys

Talisman is Strange level, Shaman is near his level but I don't feel at that level.

Which Shaman has done 🙂 but I thought that wasn't allowed anyways. Shaman has gone toe to toe with an AR Thor.

Basically I'm trying to ban matter manipulation and loophole-type things like stopping time, entering the Astral Plane, and similar stuff that isn't normal attack/defense. Some people shouldn't really be a problem (Loki, for instance, since he popped into my head because I had him in the last herald tourney). He's got some low-level matter manip, but can't turn someone into a sandwich. And most of his stuff is shields, telepathy, teleportation, magical force attacks, etc.

Banning magic altogether might be a bit extreme, but I've considered it. It would certainly make things easier.

you know what makes me laugh..turning people into sandwiches is higher than teleportation, magical force attacks and telepathy..just seems odd 😛

Talisman w/ Moon Tribe vs. Llan
Alpha Flight #83- Llan is ready to take over the Earth so Talisman has to find a way to stop him. She decided to send her aestral form 10,000 years into the past to see the previous Talisman how she defeated Llan by using his pride against him. Here the other Talisman meets up with the Tribe of the Moon.
