Alpha Flight Respect Thread

Perhaps another Alpha Flight vs Avengers thread is needed...😖hifty:

They said it so it must be true!

Not really if they actually read Alpha Flight they would know they don't suck and are one of the stongest teams ever

I really know nothing about Alpha Flight...cept they got rolled by the Collective recently in New Avengers.

And I'm Canadian, I just found that parody funny. =/

is it just me or does this character look like guardian? (its just some art someone made for a would be dallas cowboys superhero

Actually that's not even the real Alpha Flight as the real ones are in space.

Here are the scans that show that wasn't the real Alpha Flight in NA #16:

Here's the bio for the temporal copies:
http://alphanex.alphaflight.net/index.php/Alpha_Flight_%28Temporal_Copies%29

care to explain what all that meant.....and is this part of the vl 3 you were telling me about?

ps Doesnt the dallas guy look like him?!

That was the last issue of Alpha Flight vol.3 and the last apperance they had before the Collective incident. Basically, the real Alpha Flight is in space taking Plodex eggs back to the homeworld, so this new Alpha Flight took over in their absence. However, the villian Flashback asked them for assitance to travel to the past to save his life. They kept mucking with the time and made it worse and in the end Shaman created temporal copies from a divergent timeline of the original Alpha Flight from a time before their massive upgrades (before AF #12 VOL.1). So there are two Alpha Flight teams, the weaker divergent time AF and the real team who is in space.

Alpha Flight Leaving Earth
Alpha Flight #06 (Vol.3)-Here's Alpha Flight leaving Earth to raise the Plodex eggs on their homeworld. It's very likely they were still in space during the Collective fight and the temporal copies fought it.

I wonder when we will get news about the possible new AF series

So what happened to that Marrina-looking kid?

Is it still living with Namor?

No idea, he may have an entry in the A-Z Handbook, but he still might be living with Namor. I actually forgot all about him.

Namor wouldn't mind him being there. He would probably remind him of Marrina.

Him and Marrina's children have still lost (Namor found one in Annual though, it died in poisoning. It was turned into a leviathan, like its mother). I'd like to see what happened to other two. With parentage like that, they should be mighty powerful.

Well she is still alive, I wonder if he will find her.

Really? I didn't know he found one, and must be good genes 😛

Heh, yeah. 😄

Yeah, Marrina is still alive. I wonder why this has never been touched...Namor still thinks she is dead.

WHat annual # was it that Namor found one of the kids?

Sub-Mariner Annual #4

Got to check that out, and add it into the Alphanex 🙂

Guardian/Vindicator
Alpha Flight #90-Here is the history of Mac of what happened to him during Alpha Flight #12, when everyone thought he died. He became a cyborg that was meant to battle against Galactus, and shows his intelligence and skill probing into the computer network. Mac is also thousands of years old, I bet you guess didn't know that 😄

NRAMA: “Scratchy” - Will we get to know some concrete news on the 'thrilling' series (for Alpha Flight fans, Canadians, et al) by July 1, Canada Day? An image of the new book, or a concrete item stating (roundabout) how/why it'll be welcomed by Alpha Flight fans old and new?

JQ: Scratchy, no, unfortunately, no good news for our Canadian fans by July 1. My gut tells me that our Canadian brethren should receive news of their much beloved team sometime before or around January 1, which, I’ve been told, is the Canadian New Year? You Canadians and your wacky holidays, go figure
