why dont some people post some facts or events about supes and hulk to explain why they think one of the would win. "Superman would easily beat the Hulk" that is not a very convincing argument...actually, its stupid. Also everyone should take into account that fights based on fan voting are not valid examples. By the way, Superman and the Hulk are symbols of opposing companies, so each respective company, DC and Marvel, would obviously rather have their character win, so any comic with the two fighting one another would be inherently bias. There is no reference or proof that one could beat the other except for the events that take place in their comics.

Wait brute strength? Well that was "superman's" brute strength! So he's immune to superman's punches and not hulk punches!
Not really. The gamma radiation from the sun doesn't reach Earth, as you said. Thus Superman is not absorbing this to add to his strength. It's not the gamma radiation that gives Supes his strength. It's the light/heat output of the yellow sun. It's a much brighter and hotter sun than the red sun of Krypton, that's what gives him his power. I'm sure it's been explained better in the comics, but that's the gist of it.

pointy bones????.....give me a break, The Thing has a rock hide, so wut? Hulk has servived getting his skin completely ripped off.....ALL OF IT. And he regenerated it in like 5 seconds.I read that in the Ultimate Hulk Guide at Borders. It shows you his muscles, and blood, and lack of a nose and Hulkis facial features, and it all comes back faster than you can say girly man. I read that in the Ultimate Hulk Guide at Borders.I don't care if Doomsday stabed hulk in the neck (even if he could break his skin. Supes got a face pull o' pointy bone, and it did jack, but give supes more of a headache, and break the tip of his pointy knee bone). Hulk angrier, means Hulk Charged, which means hulk heals and gets stronger than Doomsday....Hulk never tires. Ultimately, he woops Doomsday for warm up, and then woops Supes for the main course.
LOL
Hulk would just bite off his pointy bones in a barbaric rage, and then say "puny rock man tastes like chicken, HULK SMASH CHICKEN MAN!!!"
LOL considering when they fought and it took Hulk 3 days of fighting to even reach Supermans level of stregth, and then Hulk about had a heart attack cause he was so pissed im going with Doomsday on this one seeing as how he is even stronger then Supes and is more durable and even has a healing factor.
"LOL considering when they fought and it took Hulk 3 days of fighting to even reach Supermans level of stregth"
Fact: It doesn't take Hulk ages to build strength. So stop using that.
Hulk is stronger than Superman. Just because both have never shown limit to strength doesn't mean there isn't one right? Wrong. Superman HAS a strength limit. Hulk doesn't because of the WAY in which he gains strength, you can't limit emotion, it's infinate.
Superman couldn't even fly when he was created, now he has all kinds of shit. Hulk has been and always will be what he is now. The strongest being to ever walk the Earth in the comic universe, physically and debateably the most durable.
Superman could do nothing to Hulk that would kill him or win the battle for him, we've been over this a million times and I've proven wrong everyone who has claimed otherwise. Superman died of over-exhaustion and considering that to win this fight he would have to get in close and harm The Hulk, he's gonna get torn a new one. He's fast but he has never used his speed in an offensive way that has affected the outcome of the battle.

Yes but if it didn't come down to past or present reputations, one on one unbiased fight to the finish, Hulk would win.
Superman, being Superman (the ever-changing powers, alien-american hero, more marketable hero) would be more acceptable as a win. Based upon powers, strengths and fighting ability, I don't believe he would win were it just one on one with nothing else. Which is what I assume these debates are.

Emerald, you keep using that 3-day argument. When did this take place? In no way would it take Hulk three days to reach current Superman's level of strength, that was poor writing if this took place post-Crisis.
Alpha, based on powers, Superman is the superior fighter. Hulk has his strength and his healing factor, but Superman has numerous other powers, or at least did. That's why I used the pre/post Crisis argument. If it's Superman of the olden days *the one who destroyed a star system with a sneeze* he wins hands down. There's not really any hero that can stack up to the original Superman. Current Supes is significantly weakened though, and Hulk could go up against him and probably win, but Superman is used to fighting big league fighters, so it's still up in the air.
Superman is someone that was created around the time that people needed a hero who could do it all and he has/had some powers that are completely pointless.
Destroying a star system with a sneeze is a bit much. That's just something to say so that all kids can use a quote associated with him. Every quote associated with Hulk can be backed up and proven. I think he would win.

ppl should read the past posts so they dont come in in the middle of the argument repeating past data.
Precrisis supes is dumb, we r not talking about precrisis supes, cuz he could do anything, again jebuz with a cape, post crisis supes is a little more realistic and actually has challenges. That's why the WB superman was so much weaker than the comic one, he's way too powerful for him to be interesting, he gets a little stronger in JLA on cartoon network, but still hes not God. thats y any argument of supes is ineffective and stupid unless u specify time zones and or media format.
Personally, I believe Precrisis supes is the only supes hulk can't beat, and I'm not being bais. Postcrisis and current supes is considerably weaker and much more tangible, and able to b defeated....(mongul is a joke) so supy fans can go cry about, but THEY CAN'T MIX PRECRISIS AND POSTCRISIS SUPERMAN!!!! no comic character has gerastically changed in power over the years and still make his or her story make sense. Hulk has changed in size, but that's about it, powers and abilities pretty much the same.

Gray Hulk, Savage Hulk, Mindless Hulk, Professor Hulk, Maestro, Banner Hulk... I probably forget a few... If you know something about the Hulk, you know they all possess different powerlevels, durability, size, healing factor, intelligence, personality and have an own way to build their strength up (if possible).
