Superman would ultimately defeat the Hulk because much like his fight with Thor....Hulk would grow tired of fighting Superman. Not fatigued, but well....bored. He would dish out some licks, but once Hulk saw that Superman a.) won't give up b.) isn't a bad guy c.) doesn't want to kill Hulk. Then he'll just say screw it and home away into the distance.
No telling what an all out fight to the death, that was fired by the death of each of their significant others (betty and lois though betty is already dead) would result in...
ok, here are my two cents...
1. The Hulk is stronger. If they were having a dead-arm contest, the Hulk would win. But Superman is a fraction of the Hulk's size, thus making him more agile, and Superman isn't called faster than a speeding bullet for nothing.
2. Not only does Superman fly, but he does have speed, heat vision, and super breath at his disposal. Using a combination of these would be more than effective, I don't care how big and angry the Hulk is.
3. The ability to survive in space is partially due to Superman's indestructable skin. The Hulk's skin might be tough enough to withstand 4000c, but that doesn't mean that the blood inside him wouldn't freeze in -273c (yes, that number is accurate. Look it up if you don't believe me) that is space.

4. Superman does not need to eat or sleep. He gets his energy from the sun, and the fact that he is invincible allows him the ability to not eat if he, for some reason, can't. The Hulk, on the other hand, is nothing more that an irradiated human. Meaning that he does need to eat and sleep for his body to function properly. So, when the Hulk calms down, and banner passes out from fatigue, Superman just wisks him away to be taken care of before Banner realizes what has happened.
5. And this fight would be one sided - The Hulk would want to SMASH puny Superman, while Superman is only trying to stop the Hulk from hurting himself or other innocents, meaning there would be times when the Hulk gets the upper hand, because Superman is distracted by saving lives.
6. Superman has had a long career of fighting supervillians on his same level, whereas to the Hulk, this would be new to him... fighting someone who can go punch for punch.
So in conclusion, I don think that Superman would win, just based upon the fact that he's physically tougher, has more experience, and has more to work with than just his fists.
What are the strengths of Hulk and Superman
Superior Strength- unless they go all out, Superman will bounce back, hit Hulk who will bounce back till a random point where one collapsesmad2
Superior Speed- Superman's is clearly greater. Once he pulled out a antaganostic bug in Hulk's ear beyond Hulks speedpissed
Fighting Skill- Superman has a super interlect, thousands of years of martial art training in the past. The hulk has genious level intelligencebook.
Endurance- Unknown. Superman can be beaten up briefly by a human with a unknown alloy, survive the nuclear reactions in the sun, survive an atom bomb with a light headache. The hulk has fast healing, and is almost invincible to concution blasts, and we suspect atom blasts, but be forced back by batman's fist.batman
Limits to human murder- Superman refuses to kill people, or fight near civilians, and would defend a human at the cost of his life, whilst the hulk routinely kills the military,tomcat quite possibly random people in a city if he gets angry (maybe saving the ones that get trapped at the entrance)

What the hell? The DC/Marvel crossover had Superman win. He smashed Hulk through a mountain. Of course it also had Storm beat Wonderwoman, so it was an absolutely pathetic storyline, but still, Hulk did not win.
Also, why do people keep talking about Silver Surfer would beat Hulk and Superman like its fact. Surfer has gotten beaten senseless by so many characters I don't anticipate Superman losing that battle. As for Hulk, Surfer's blasts would send him flying, but he'd keep coming back considering nothing really hurts him.
Doomsday and Hulk are so similar it isn't funny.

One difference, Hulk only becomes stronger and more durable and faster as he gets madder. Simply put, his ever increasing rage makes him "able" to do just about anything.
So what if Hulk can't fly, that never stopped Doomsday from wiping Supes' ass all around Metropolis. He just jumped up to Supes and ***** slapped him back to Earth. Hulk and Supes would have a fight similar to Doomsday and Supes, but only difference is Hulk would not only be unstoppable, he becomes more powerful and dangerous.

LOL!! Hulk is not slow, and never was, everyone who has encountered him was astounded that someone who could be so big, move so fast. Get your heroes straight. Anger increases Hulks will and ability, not just strength, telepaths have have trouble controling his mind, due to his will power which never dies......LOL Hulk Slow.....LOL dude, stay off the drugs.
Wait. I thought someone here once told me that the Hulk keeps growing bigger from the gamma radiation so thats why he looks bigger every decade? I could be wrong but someone told me that so I think eventually Superman will either be out of his league or Bruce Banner will die from the gamma radiation. Either way Hulk is gonna be stronger.

I don't care if Doomsday stabed hulk in the neck (even if he could break his skin. Supes got a face pull o' pointy bone, and it did jack, but give supes more of a headache, and break the tip of his pointy knee bone). Hulk angrier, means Hulk Charged, which means hulk heals and gets stronger than Doomsday....Hulk never tires. Ultimately, he woops Doomsday for warm up, and then woops Supes for the main course.
