Superman vs. Hulk

Post. Everyone's talking about post. Pre-Crisis would murder Hulk in so many ways it's not funny.

I'm seriously doubtful whether Post-C Superman - acting WITHIN his character - would beat Hulk.

He COULD do it. If he flew out into space and then flew straight down into Hulk at super-mega-ultra-giga-hyper speeds he'd absolutely atomize the Hulk.

Problem is, he'd probably atomize himself. And the country of impact.

Also, he could win through sheer use of super-speed in a fight. He has the ability to move at almost any speed he wishes - even the Flash has said 'his muscle power snaps the laws of physics in half!' - and if he used this power to land hundreds of superman punches on Hulk every minute, then Hulk would be pulverised.

But again - though these things are possible, even plausible - he's not done them before and it would be out of character for him to in this fight.

Hulk already fought pre-crisis Superman. That's the one he knocked out of Metropolis.

Superman isn't Flash. Post-crisis Supe's flight speed is only about mach 10-15. Flash is hardly the one I'd go to for scientific analysis.

Superman already tried the "hit him from space" tactic. It knocked Hulk through a couple mountains, but had no apparent effect.

Superman has used his full strength when fighting Hulk. He has said himself, "I'm not holding back."

A Mountain vs a moon or a planet. I think Supes has this.

Cythonna the krytonian goddess? She manhandled Supes with ease and put the world in a blizzard. I'd say thats pretty strong. He had to fly to the sun to fight her. The sun powers Supes to ridiculous levels and he still had a hard time.

We also don't know exactly how strong Supes is either. I know I have seen Supes knock out Hulk with one punch when he really needed to.

man superman hasnt lifted moons or planets. he has pushed them. heck i can push a 6 ton automobile, with ease, ask me if i can pick it up over my shoulders, not even a chance. im sure if the hulk had flight he would be able to push moons and planets as well.

Six ton? Wow. Considering the average car only ways a ton and a half - and most people struggle with one of them.

Oh - and Supes hasn't just pushed planets.... he's thrown them...

hes pushing a planet. Im not saying it isnt a feat, its amazing. what im saying is, if hulk had the power of flight he would be able to do it as well.
im not a small guy, it was a small truck.

A Dodge Ram weighs three tons... what the hell did have in the back of that thing lol? 😄

And Hulk couldn't do it. If he tried to use his strength like that, whatever he pushed/threw would just break up.

Supes can do it because he has tactile-telekinesis.

My point exactly. If Superman had to lift the weight of a planet rather than push it, he would not be able to do so. Lifting a mountain is not Hulk's greatest feat of strength.

Superman pushed the earth. Hulk has moved the entire earth with a single punch. He has obliterated a planetoid twice the size of earth with a single punch.

No comparison.

He hasn't thrown them, but he has pushed them.
Either way, Supes has more powers and intelligence than the Hulk.
Hulk will lose.
Where did the weight of the mountain come from? Was is something someone just said, or did they actually weigh it on a scale?
Mountain = Heavy
Planet = Much heavier and it has LOTS of mountains on it.

um i dont think superman is as smart as the new current hulk. he has the intelligence of bruce banner.

Smarts? Currently, the Hulk has the superhuman genius of Bruce Banner. That's more than Clark Kent can say.

Planetoid twice the size of earth < Earth, obviously.

Superman alledgedly has tactile telekinesis. His fans have deduced this; his writers never said anything of the sort. How does that help your argument? That only proves that Hulk is stronger.

I was just saying, that Hulk cannot lift things like aircraft carriers etc. They couldn't take the strain. TK is the only explanation for Supes ability to lift impossible to support objects such as that. I was only stating it out of interest, not to back up any kinda argument.

And did Hulk actually lift that mountain?

The mountain collapses on Hulk. Then, he raises it. He lifted it.

That is not his greatest feat of strength.

Hulk smashes a planetoid with twice the mass of earth into deep space with a single punch.

Hulk has broken the attraction between matter and antimatter, a physically impossible feat.

Hulk has crushed pure adamantium.

Hulk has attained strength levels greater than that of a Celestial.

Superman's strength just doesn't compare.
