In a normal versus thread in the sense people must analyze the strengths and weaknesses of a character and come to a conclusion as to who would win. In this instance the conclusion has been given already, and people should try to analyze how we arrived there. So far it seems the most feasible way is if Superman was worn down fighting Hulk and Hulk just got his lucky "Onslaught Buster" in on Supes.
A second benefit to this type of thread is to see who would actually take the scenario and attempt to come up with a way Hulk could beat Superman, and to see who would just come in here with their fandom in tow and say Superman would win, even after the hypothetical situation is that he has lost. Someone that has an open mind to these vs topics could conceivably create SOME scenario in which Hulk would beat Superman, even if its something wild like "Hulk had Kryptonite gloves" while someone with a closed mind would argue that the hypothetical situation is impossible.
hulk after rampaging for three days wanders into metropolis where superman who just returned from defeating gladiator, thor, hyperion, hercules, juggernaut, wonderman, and 15 wolverines. haggard and beaten superman's vision clears to see hulks mighty fist crashing down on him. supes is punched into a 1000 foot crater when hulk jumps in on him with all his might. he of course is blasted away by supermans heat vision that burns as hot as the core of teh earth itself. blasted 1500 feet into the air, hulk is tackled by a charging superman who takes him to the bring of space to suffocate. weakened by the onslaught of taking on and utterly defeating the other warriors at once superman is struck by a struggling hulk as they rocket into space. falling back into the atmosphere, supes and hulk start to burn. hulk bammered away at the wounded metropolis marvel and they crash into an abandoned hillside. superman now unconscious from his previous wounds, is mauled by hulk who caves his chest in in a series of mammoth blows.
superman dies.
a world mourns him.
After probably the shortest battle of his life, Hulk stands triumphant over the large crater formed by the impact of his savage fists. In the middle of this crater lays the mangled body of the man of steel. Chaos is all around as people are screaming and shouting; "what are we to do ?", others claim "that its is now all over ". Many look on in absolute dismay, pondering over the concept that their hero is now dead.
After the Hulk makes one more terrifying scream, he uses his enormous legs to jump off into the distance. Two men, who were yards away from the tragic incident lean over the crater to see if there is any chance that superman may still be alive.
"Well it looks like game over, doesn't it Kevin ?"
"I'm sure there will be a hefty insurance claim though Bryan?"
"Oh well i suppose so, i mean in a way its a blessing in disguise, this movie was a retarded idea from the very start. I just wanted to have an excuse to work with Kate Bosworth. Its just i feel guilty because Brandon could have been a real star."
"Oh well now he's dead, I suppose you could go back to directing those X-men movies again? I mean I've always wanted to play Jubilee.
"Really Kevin, I would have never had guessed?"
the clock ticked away and the fans cheered on the hulk as he did attack after devastating attack on the man of steel. in one final blow ith 16 seconds on the clock, the man of sttel falls limp and dies.
"Game Over! Hulk Wins!" the annoncer stated
Solidus Snake walks away from the DC vs Marvel arcade game grumbling something about "try to learn the moves before you lose your quarters"

Hulk does have a chance of beating Superman. It isn't totally impossible. It really depends on how Superman fights. Hulk is more than a match for Superman physically, but Superman has the advantages of speed and flight, and he has the option of ending the fight quickly by throwing Hulk into space.

masterbruce - most frightening because at least Doomsday left a useable corpse. In this mood I'm not sure there's any redemption for Hulk and now he's going to have the world's most powerful gunning for him, its like Maestro all over again...for the first time (to use common comic rhetoric)
