We've been doing this for about a page or so. On a serious note. I believe your points were well thought out, however, your statistics are a bit off. My basic point has been that if you be male or female..and you act like a jerk..then don't be surprised if you at some point get inadvertently hurt by a bigger jerk..verbally or physically...

Understood..but the point has been that in many circumstances similar rationale can be applied to Males. Many men fear loosing their "lives" in a sense..leaving an abusive relationship. Loosing your house, kids, friends, ..etc..are things that are not just specific to any particular gender. Your personal experience probably weighs heavily on your opinion..and I definately have sympathy for you if you experienced "life threatening" abuse.

I don't know much about it the bill. I'd have to read up on it. Apparently some people griped about it not having enough provisions on it for minority women. I'm definately for Bills protecting the rights of minorities and women..it's just now a days..many of these bills do tend to do a bit of reverse discrimination from time to time. It's still pretty much a "White Man's World" so I guess we definately do need to have laws to counter the standard "White Male" idealogy.
