I liked the idea of being well funded maybe we do all secretly want to be better than each othe but we still have money! oh and a more stratedgic position to start from owning a numberof Planets while Rebels are hiding out on the backsides of crappy little planets trying to put up a fight, even if we do lose in th eend

When was the last time you got a vacation? Do you have a dental plan? How about insurance? Any quality, frienly co-workers, with similar interests? Any guarantee that if you mess up you won't just be given the axe, in a more than metaphorical way?

Nah, Dak was making it in favor of joining the Rebels. I was simply continuing the joke, and adding another twist. Well, there goes yet another failed attempt at humor...

'salright. My parade is especially easily rained on today, due to being bone-numbingly exhausted... and kinda worried that my concept isn't gonna work out. Or wil lbe turned down on the grounds that... well, to put it bluntly, he only needs to get three combat tricks before he has all of them...

primitive warriors... well, they rock in hand to hand.

If you use the rules to get that... Then it's fine.

The problem is... this character... well, he's more of a soldier template with alien tricks. That;s a good description: Gun tricks, varied skills, etc. I'm kind of stretching the character as far as I can via the primitive warrior template to fit... and wishing I could take gun tricks.

I find it better to make a character using a template - then make the background.

You know, that's a good point that DDB brought up... regardless of what anyone in the game does, the Rebels ultimately win.

So, Rex, what's the point in fighting for the inevitably losing side? Why do you think I chose to rebel, anyway? (besides being able to be a dirty smuggler, I mean 😉)
