Not all Christians - it is the wonder of progress.

The fact more and more people are realising that bigotry based upon any religious texts isn't right.

Realising that the interpretation of the anti-gay rule so long ago might actually be wrong.

Realising that it is outdated - the product of early Church politics.

Realising that to be taken serios in the claim that "God loves all people" that they need to move away from demonizing a group that is neither wrong or pervers.

Are you ready for the future? Are you ready to think for yourself and not simply accept bigotry? Or are you going to cling to the idea these people are somehow bad for loving and feeling like any other human being?

No I am just going on how I feel about the subject.I am not bigotry at all.We all have feelings againt this topic and by my own beliefs and throughts I choose to be againt it.

Definition. If a persons thoughts a bigoted then they can think them, but should accept they will be recognised as such.

Same with racist thoughts or criminal thoughts or whatever. And by rights - freedom of speech: "You are anti-homosexual for no other reason other then you don't like them. It is my free speech right to say that strikes me as pretty bigoted."

Not really. Freedom of speech comes with the responisbility that you take your speech responsibly. You can't yell fire in a crowded theatre. If you'd back up your opinons, people would tolerate your speech.

But since you can't, and its become obvious that your "opinons" (which totally unbased) are nothign but hate and lies.

Bardock and Imperial are correct in their assessment of your bigotry.

P.S. When I first realized that I was attracted to men I hated it...I feared being hated by peers, and I also feared being "disgusting" to my family....It took me years to finally accept who I am, and just be happy with it.

It would be appropriate to use the term "racist" if racist ideals or views had been expressed. They haven't been.

The difference is that you have presented your views which are profoundly anti homosexual for no other reason then you don't like them.

You have failed to validate your opinion with any reason why they are bad. A such you dislike of them is personal, and this puts one firmly in the field of the bigot classification.

As to free speech - free speech allows you to present bigoted ideas, but it does not have a clause that says "free speech means a person can not be categorised based upon opinions expressed." If it did then words like racist and bigot wouldn't exist.

To reiterate - you dislike homosexuality. You have no real evidence for such a dislike, thus it is personal. Such dislikes as these are considered bigoted.
