The problem with that sentence is the word "sick" - since there is nothing sick about it. Homosexuality or heterosexuality are not taught in schools until the correct age is reached. But when it is both heterosexuality and homosexuality deserve recognition during the sexual education portion of ones studies (P.E/P.D they call it in Australia's high schools - Personal Development.)
Your views being taught would be similar to imposing "Dark Ages" thinking on a university.

Incorrect. Studies of such individuals have found, if I remember rightly, that they were either bisexual (and thus equally capable of being sexually happy with a women as a man) or suppressed their natural sexuality. They never stop being gay, they just manage to hide it really, really well.

I go to a catolic school, and it was a religon class assignment.
And the assignment was to figure out how many different races are gay, and why it should be stopped among all of them.
Because according to my teacher, who has been a nun for 26 years, says it's wrong to marry the same sex, and she thinks it should be banned.

I think if I didn't have such a strong world weary and cynical streak that might affect me deeply. The idea of children be educated in such a way... it feels so very wrong. So very, very wrong.
Children should be as fair and objective as possible be educated about homosexuality. If children are ignorant and unfamiliar with certain concepts then they will simply lack the intellectual tools necessary to fully understand and evaluate what they are hearing, thus making it more likely that they adopt a very bizarre and/or extreme point of view.

But let me ask you...why should Athiest and Agnostics be forced to learn about religion in school, and why should they be forced to say "under god" in the Pledge of Allegiance ?

I think EVERYTHING should be taught...not just one way of thinking. The more the learn, the smarter you become, and an open mind is greater than anything else on this Earth.
I beleive we should learn about ALL RELIGIONS, not just one, and i thnk we should all be educated on the EXISTANCE of various sexual orientations, not just the one you favor.
Parents will not do a good job teaching about homosexuals, because most parents will simply teach thier children how "disgusting" homosexuality is, therefore causing thier children to grow up homophobic and bias.
Schools will teach the topic of homosexuality in an objective manner, so that kids can actually LEARN about people who are different from themselves, not just end up hating them because thier parents tell them 2.
I think it would be great for these reasons:
1) You can't teach someone to be Gay. They either ARE or thier NOT.
2) The less you know about someone the harder it will be to handle an encounter with that person. Wouldn't you rather learn MORE ABOUT Gay poeple so that you may encounter them more appropriately? Or are you just satisfied with ignoring them and telling them how disgusting you think they all are ? 🙄
Are you simply happy being a bigot ? If so, then fine. Be that way. Otherwise, open your mind and realize that you do NOT know everything, and there are facts and truths that have yet to be discovered, and there is MORE TO LIFE than what you beleive it to be.

But then some people might object to Algebra. Or History. Or certain parts of history. Or Philosophy. Or Sports. And it is not jsut the decision of the parents. The Society wants it's members to be well informed and knowledgable. Homosexuality is an important topic without a doubt.
