Most of the homosexuals that I know, hate the flaming f-a-g-s. I am making the assumption that we are talking about the majority of homosexuals that would not stand out in a crowd.

That's most likely because he thought universal mysticism/hermistic type beliefs. People forget that mordern Christianity is a make-shift religion created by constantine and the consoul of niccea. Many people who are ignorant on the subject of sexuality only see homosexuality as an act, or a behavior. Not as an orientation.
However, homosexuality, like heterosexuality, is more than just a behavior.
It is a part of who they actually are, not just what they do. Heterosexuality is a big part of who you are as well. Your heterosexuality lead you to fall in love with your wife/girlfreind, it created your children, it created your family, it determined many of the life choices and decisions you have made, and has contributed to your happiness.
Likewise, although being Gay is not the defining factor in my person, it has determined many of my actions, thoughts, choices, perceptions, feelings, etc.
I'll share:
My sexuality plays a big role in my life. Ofcourse, I am more than just a gay person, but being gay plays a big role in my life.
It has helped shape:
My relationship with my family
My relationship with my freinds
My relationship with other men and women
My perceptions and biases towards politics, religion, culture, etc.
My taste in art, movies, images, media, etc.
My own artwork
My romantic/sexual relationships (which u know is always a big deal to any person)
My feelings about myself and other people
My empathy towards other minorities
My self image, and desire to improve my body
The way I treat other people
My educational choices
My sense of humor
My choice in choosing freinds
etc.etc.etc...i can go on and on.

Quiero Mota, you yourself even came up with a theory that if I were straight, I'd be totally different. You even went as far as to say that if I were straight, I wouldn't have had such a critical opinion of Christianity and Islam.

That is true. Gay people also have kids, that does not determine thier sexual preference.
