Were you abused as a child? I don't think I have ever had one normal post from you. You came out the gate swinging at me so to speak. What is your complex? Did you not get any love (let alone enough love) as a child? Man! I have never seen anyone as angry as you in my life over little words (called characters and symbols) on a gray backdrop. You need anger management, a complete psychoanalysis (with extra, tender care and love), some chill pills, and these gospel tracts for real (man!).

Are you ready? Because God (the Creator of human beings) says so. It is not natural, norrmal, or acceptable to God. But God still loves them, He just hates the sin of homosexuality. His Word (the holy Bible) condemns it.

Let me digress for a moment then come back to your question. Every Catholic person that I talk to seem to have faith in the "Catholic religion" but not in Jesus Christ. Being Catholic is not the same as being saved (or born again). A person can claim to be Catholic all of their life yet die and still go to Hell. So just make sure that your faith is in Jesus Christ for salvation from your sins and not in the Catholic religion (or any other religion for that matter).

Now to answer your question. Pride is a sin because God said so. I know this sounds too simplistic but it is the truth. Whatever God says is a sin, that is a sin regardless of what we think. It is okay Maple Sugar (hey nice name by the way, it sounds so sucrosy) to have self-esteem and self-worth. But as the Bible says just do not think "more highly" of yourself than you ought to. You ought to think highly of yourself because God thinks highly of you. But just don't get carried away into thinking more highly than you should. That leads to or is pride.

Correct. You can pride yourself on different things and have self-esteem, but just give God the glory (as the Bible says) for everything. I believe that doing this helps keep us humble. I give God the glory for some of the most simple achievements. Every now and then I will joke around like I did in one of these threads earlier about finding a book publisher. But I live a life of humility (or at least I do make an effort to). People are constantly complementing me on things and I tell them thanks. But when they leave and it is just me and God, I give God the glory for it.

But these terms are misnomers. My objection to the homosexual lifestyle and mindset is not engendered by fear; it is based on God's Word (the Standard that I live by). People are not opposed to homosexuality (the lifestyle) because of any fear, the are against it because it is a sin (it is just plain wrong). I am not afraid of homosexuals, I am opposed to their lifestyle. There is a King Kong-size difference between being "against" and being "afraid" of something. If I was afraid of homosexuality I would never so much as open my mouth in protest about it--ever. I would be to afraid to. But yet that is what the homosexual community wants us to think. That if we object to their lifestyle then we must be afraid of them. No, not at all. The word fear and homosexual have zero correlation. Similarly, people have a proclivity to use the word hate in connection with those who object to the homosexual lifestyle. In their ignorance and lack of good diction they fail to understand that not approving of something has nothing to do with hate. The only person that I hate is satan, and the only thing that I hate is sin. Hating something and objecting to something are two totally different concepts altogether. But the average person is not able to make that distinction. They feel so strongly about homosexuality that any ideas or comments in stark contrast to it must be hate or fear. I cannot help it if that person's mind (understanding) is not developed enough to make a distinction between two totally different terms.

Homophobia- simply means a disgust or intense dislike of homosexuals and or homosexual behavior. At the same time, it also means fear of being labeled a "homosexual", when it applies to homophobic machismo.

Storm, with all due respect your accusations show the depth of your intellect or should I say lack thereof? I have not abandoned reason at any time. As a follower of Jesus I live by a totally different standard than you do (I can say that again). God is my Heavenly Father so when He says something it is no different than an earthly father giving his child instruction to live by. It does not matter if I am 1,000 years old, relative to God, I am still His child. I'm sure your father told you things and you just accepted it because your father said so. That is why Adam and Eve sinned. God said one thing and they started rationalizing, and reasoning. The next thing you know they had fallen short of the glory of God for the first time in their existence. God wants us to live by "His Word" on matters where His Word is being contradicted. The problem with this world is that everyone has their own standard for what they "think" is right or wrong, that is why it is so messed up. Instead of their being a standard that everyone lives by. I have not abandoned reason as you falsely allege. Storm what if your employer told you that soliciting sex and using drugs while on company time was against the rules. Then someone asked you why was soliciting sex and using drugs on company time in violation of company policy, what would you tell that person? What? I am curious to know Storm, could you speak up. Oh, I see, you would say, because the boss man (or woman) said so. That is no different than me telling someone that homosexuality is a sin because God said so. But see you just have a bone to pick with me so I guess that is why you say little things to antagonize me and single me out right? No? Then why do you bother replying to my posts? The post was not directed to you and it sure didn't have your name anywhere in the post. So then, why else would you waste your valuable time replying? You could have used that time to phone your significant other, watch tv, or do something else constructive.
