By your reasoning, mixed-race couples should not be allowed to raise children, because they may be discriminated against by antimiscegenists and racists.

you are twisting my words around. i know that they should have the right to have kids, but i am only worried about the effect it wil have on the kids.
i am not saying that gays have no rights, so stop misquoting me.
So you are saying they should have kids, just not yet because of the impact it might have on them... so, what exactly is going to change in 20 years? After 20 years will the potential for teasing suddenly stop?
Truth be told - there is no bad effect to be had on them. No studies have shown a gay household is in anyway damaging to a child. Likewise an argument based upon "they might get teased" alone is faulty as so many other groups get teased and it is fine (for them to exist that is.)
I say the sooner it is allowed, fully, the sooner people can start coming to terms with it.

Every child will be teased and made fun of for whatever reason....everyone gets bullied, and everyone does thier share of bullying.
Your reasoning for not wanting Gays to parent children is understandable but invalid. 👇

all i am saying is that the world is not ready for it yet. the world has gotten used to the interracial couple thing, its not a big deal anymore. in time, we as a people will learn to accept things that we cannot accept now.
All I am saying is that it is not going to really hurry the process along if people don't have to face such things. And in the process because of a shrinking group of ignorant bigots whole generations of gay people might miss out on having children so that those afore mentioned bigots might hopefully "mellow" over time.
so if a kid is in high school, and the school bully finds out that his parents are both gay, you think the bully is gonna let that slide? no frigging way. the damage done by the constant teasing could be long term.
my opinion? let the gays do what they want to. they pay taxes just as we do.
But that is the thing - look at all the other things people get bullied over. As I said in a previous post. Why deny one group because of that while any number of kids get picked on over their parents jobs or looks or religion. Are we running to a theory that having gay parents leads to worse parents then having parents who for some other reason have earned a bullies wrath?

When it comes to rights, those without them shouldn't be forced to have to wait for the world to "get ready". Its wrong on every level of enlightened thinking.

i never said it was right that the world is the way it is. i am just commenting that there are some things the world in whole is not ready for yet.
I think the world, as a whole, is ready for it, and I don't think the process should be derailed by the vocal anti-gay lobby.

question....are you accusing me of being anti gay?
No, and Alliance is right. I am refering to, as it were, the anti-gay lobby. Your argument is that we should wait in order to let people get their heads around it I guess. Since the only really people that have a vocal problem with it are the anti-gay lobby I see no reason why the process should be held up for them.
