At least you got the gist of what I am saying--this time. This is kind of complicated what I am about to set forth but I think that you can handle what I am about to say. Rob. all people come into this world a product of the previous generation's (their parents, their parents, and their parents, etc.) vices, foibles, weaknesses, and sins if you would. Rob. give me an example of something that you struggle with. Everyone has at least one thing that trips them up. Are you a peeping tom, pedophile, rapist, murderer, gossiper, lyer, thief. Do you watch porn, get drunk, beat people up, a glutton and overeater, etc. Give me what you believe is the thing that you have a hard time overcoming.

Not all people and I'm not talking about Christians. There are Buddhist monks who have none of these vices. There are people who are not Buddhist monks or Christians who have none of these vices. The world has good people in it, but also has bad people. You can't see the forest for the trees.

I love it when you talk down to me, I always get what you are saying, I just don't agree with 99% of it. Do not confuse nonacceptance with non-understanding. They are two totally different animals.

I'll entertain your question though... Of what you mentioned, I am the following: Lyer (not often), thief (when I was a child), watch porn (lesbian & anal porn especially), get drunk (very rarely), a glutton-overeater (on a daily basis, but I am in great shape, go figure) and lazy.

That seems to be shifting some of the responsibility to these "seducing spirits." I do not believe any responsibility lies anywhere but in the individual.

No, I didn't mean this is a demeaning way. My bad Rob. (I need to figure out a way to communicate my thoughts in a way that does not agree with folk if they are wrong, but that doesn't offend them either). Okay, so you have your various foibles. Not everyone has the same things that they are more prone to than others. I am not susceptible to the same things that you are Rob. and perhaps vice versa. But demons (under satan's command) don't care about that. They know what your weaknesses are and they attack you in that area. They focus on that area of your life to keep you mired in sin. Actually if you are not saved then you are already in their bag. Their purpose is to keep you from ever finding out the truth about God's love for you and to keep you from following God. They strive to keep you so distracted and preoccupied with the passing pleasures of sin so that you will never think about God's love for you or accept it in Jesus Christ. And you know what: they are successful. Not just with you but the masses of folk who they have a hand in keeping blind and fixated on doing whatever one feels like (so long as it does not necessarily impact on others adversely. Can't you see how cunning they are).

So in theory, a person who is "saved" like yourself does not sin, since you we're able to force away the demons of sodomy, gluttony, greed, envy etc... Groovy, but it sounds pompous to me.
