Last-Gen Console Discussions (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii)

I can not wait for the Rev. My only worry is that they will rush it so they can release it with the ps3. The way I figure it, Nintendo sees the way many people look at it, as a system for kids. They figure they can not beat sony and Bill, by doing the same thing they are doing, they have to do something new. Something that will "Change the way we play games", ideas like the DS. Who would ever have thought of having two screens? Now they are going to come out with something even more different, and I can not wait to see what it is like.

There's rumors flying around that the Rev's going to be under $150 and most likely it's true since it won't have a dvd/blue ray player, ultra powerful tech, nor HD compatible. Mmm, revolutionary and cheap. I'm still waiting for it all to come out but the Rev just keeps getting more and more sexier 'specially with this news.

The Revo will support DVD Playback. But you have to buy an extra ataachment similar to the Remote and the X-Box.

I've learned about this "displacement mapping" thing recently, and while it's intriguing, I still don't get quite what it is. As far as I can tell, it's a program that makes low-poly-count objects look like they have a higher poly count, but with less power needed?

Whatever it is, it shuts up all those damn sony and ms fanboys ranting on about how Rev's going to be the worst graphically out of the 3. Can't wait to see it all in action. This next gen is gonna be awesome. I wonder if this technology is going to affect the Rev's price?

Although I get aloada people saying to get a 360, and I havnt actually heard alot about the Rev., I'm just gonna stick with the Playstation, it works doesnt it?

It's been like 2 months since its released.

he probably meant only in Japan although it isn't selling buckloads in Uk SALES OF IT HAS DEID A BIT.

But my point is that how can you say it failed, when its just has been released.

Most consoles sell alot later on after a year or so. I can see the 360 selling alot more after PS3 comes out.

hell thats what i thought he may hve meant, it is pretty early in the consoles life span to say it failed.

don't know about USA but they are giving away so many Xbox360's in competitons. Oh and Xbox launched sold more that Xbox 360's at Japan though in UK it broke Gamecubes record of 69000 units sold in a week.

still not sure whether to get a xbox or PS3 though i know most my mateswuill be gtting ps3
