Also, samasandian, those games on xbox and ps2 that you say are immature but fool you othedrwise by filling the games with blood and sex, Usually have realistic situations blown out of proportion. these situations are what i beleive to draw people to them. Nintendo usually never steps out of kindergarden fantasy and when they do, it is to release a game another company designed for them

Did I say anything about being immature or that they fool you?

No, I didnt.

Nintendo does have unoriginal games, like Mario, or Zelda. But I dont care because they're fun as hell to play. I dont mind if it's called, "Kiddie."
Sony and MS have unoriginal games also, like most Midway games, or GTA clones, or Grad Turismo clones, should I go on?
Every single system has unorginal games. Every system has original games.
The only difference is that Nintendo games are mostly rated for everyone, while the other two systems are mostly rated Teen to Mature.
There is no problem with it. Its just a fact.

And lastly, who ****ings cares if Nintendo is "kiddie". If you need realistic suitations blown out of proporation, with blood and guts and sex all time, and get offended and bitchy about a game thats rated E,then you have a problem.

no nintendo does rule but I am tired of mario 8000, and now basevball party and other trash...mario is not a soccer player...

Hahaha!

Stupid Microsoft...

Oh well, it's happened lots of time and my faith in XBOX hasn't gone down one bit.

I just hope mine works good.

I didn't mean to insinuate that you said nintendo games are immature (sorry). That is what i am saying. Do you truly believe that nintendo games are rated for everyone? Nintendo targets a very small demographic. This being the younger audience. I believe that people with fully developed minds should have no reason to play %80 of gamecubes' games. It is true that a mario game is fun, but Mario can only be reinvented so many times until it becomes just another mario game.

As for needing a game that focuses with situations blown out of proportion while being plagued with blood and guts...no i do not need that. Personally i need a game that has some kind of story with realistic dialogue which also possesses a style of game design that makes me feel for the characters. Nintendo offers very little of this. what Nintendo does offer are games cluttered with terrible color schemes, outlandish characters which seem to transfer in some way to every game nintendo pumps out.

I guess the 3 million or so, who bought Sunshine and Zelda all have non fully developed minds. Or how a game called Manhunt, the Suffering, True Crimes or similiar crappy game can be reinvented so many times with crappy dialogue, bland locales, swearing and racial stereotypical characters spouting, " yo biatch" every two seconds be labelled for fully developed minds.

yeah mario sunshine wasnt that great. i dont think manhunt, the suffering, or true crimes can even be compared to sunshine and zelda, there not Exclusive Titles and they do not represent the console. One "kiddie game" that Sony has is Kingdom Hearts, rated E, but its not as colorful and as kiddie as Sunshine or anything. The disney characters are nowhere near nintendos level of kiddie.

Disnay isnt as kiddie as Nintendo?
Your kidding me right?

Movie company that uses a cute mouse as its main character, isnt as kiddie as a plumber?

Manhunt, the Suffereing and True Crimes were released on both PS2 and xbox and basically sum up what type of games both systems generally do.
Sunshine wasnt that great compared to Mario 64, SMB3 or super mario world, but those are amazing games so its pretty hard to be better than those.

It's coming in 25 years 😄

I could care less if they made a Super Smash bros 5,000 I love that game(fav fighting game thing) but only one comes out per system.

Doubtful to stay that way if the Revolution and the other consoles are expected to last for ten years.

These new consoles will last 4 or 5 years then we will get new ones.

I think these are the last console big leaps.

These consoles will last another 5 years, and then the next Big Thing will prompt three new consoles, be it Virtual Reality or some other new technology that's supposed to put you more into the game.

It will fail. gaming is coming to an end. No original ideas anymore.

No.. if you listen to any interviews or read any information, you'll know these consoles are supposed to last for at least ten years. There is simply nothing else to improve after this.

For awhile, yes. Which is why developers themselves say that the shelf life will be at least ten years.

Again... that won't be around for awhile. Five years is a bit soon.

I think technology is near it;s pinacle(not just games) but we are suppose to be like the jetsons by now.

Well, not VR, namely, but you get the point. There is always a next Big Thing for which all the companies must design new consoles, and for which you must buy them.

Right now it's graphics. Other than online play, the Xbox/PS2/GC cycle didn't improve games greatly anywhere except graphics. And now that that has been successful, the companies are releasing new systems with what? Better graphics.

Other than the Revolution (because Nintendo doesn't do something now unless they believe it's the most innovative thing ever), how are the next consoles changing gameplay? We already have wireless controllers and online play. What else are they offering, besides graphics?

More gimmicks

Right, and the companies themselves stated there will be no 'next big thing' for at least ten years, that they can't do anything more now, or in the immediate future.

Um no because Blu Ray discs will be available in the next 1 or 2 years and currently only PS3 will have Blu Ray discs. The pinacle of consoles will be when they have reached the same graphics as CGI in movies, for example take the MATRIX, that would be the pinacle of game, to be able to play with such graphics. I say this because we are about to enter and have already entered into the dual-core technology. With such processing power now available for a moderately cheap price, who knows what the next console could allow us to do, every 6 months to a year a new video card is being released aswell. Video cards will one day be dual-core aswell.
